Summary: One day on a walk home from school, you and Peter find something interesting. After befriending him, there's more to discover, and it lands you back in Gotham for an enjoyable night.

"It's pure science, Pete," You told Peter as you walked down the street to get to Stark Tower. Happy picked you up from school, but you wanted to stop to get a snack. It's a Friday; celebrate getting through the week and enjoy it with some ice cream.

Peter shook his head and laughed after he pulled the milkshake away from his mouth. "One Direction's best song has nothing to do with science," He said.

"It so does. Maybe a mix of math and science, but it all works out to be the same song," You rolled your eyes. "Obviously, One Direction's best song is-" You stopped yourself when you almost tripped over a wheel. "What's this?" You asked, quickly getting sidetracked.

A wheel was sticking out on the sidewalk, and you noticed it was attached to a full motorcycle that looked like it had been hit, but not destroyed and was in pretty good shape. It was weird, and sticking out of a mostly clear alley, save for a dumpster and some wire fencing.

"Some kid dumped their bike, I guess," He shrugged and stepped around the wheel.

"Why would someone dump an almost perfectly good bike?" You questioned and heard a grunt come from the alleyway. Quickly, you grabbed Peter's arm and shushed him to listen. A few more grunts and some movement, and you touched the watch on your hand to turn into your repulsor.

You held your hand out in case it was someone trying to bait you; you didn't take any risks anymore, but wanted to make sure no one was hurt. Behind the side of the dumpster was a man wearing mostly black with a brown jacket overtop. He was holding his side and didn't seem to hear you walk up to him. "Are you okay?" You asked, calling attention to yourself.

The man jumped slightly at your voice. "Fuck, yeah, I'm fine," He said through gritted teeth.

"Is that your bike?" You pointed to where Peter was standing, and the man peeked around to look.

He peered back up at you. "If I say no, will you go away?" He asked.

You shrugged and put your hand down so the repulsor wasn't aimed. "Probably not; you look hurt. What happened?"

"I said that I'm fine; carry on with your day," The man insisted.

"Oh, I'm not leaving. I'm crazy stubborn," You said. "You look hurt. What happened?" You repeated.

The man was quiet for a minute, hoping that ignoring you would make you give up and leave. But when you crossed your arms, he gave up. "I was driving down the road, and the person behind me seemed to not like me and hit me," He said. "But I'm fine."

You jumped back and looked at Peter like this guy was crazy. "Oh my gosh, did you call the police?" You asked.

The man scoffed. "The police? No, they wouldn't help me," He said. "Besides, I'm fine. A person hit my wheel, and I fell off, only landed on my side," He explained.

"Well, considering you're having a hard time talking, holding your side, and wincing a bit, I don't think you're fine," You said and motioned for Peter to come to you. "We can help you, make sure nothing's broken. Our destination is right around the corner, and we can get you some help," You said and told him your name. "What's your name?" You asked and held your hand out to help the man up.
