I gently strummed my guitar and glanced out of the window. The grey clouds were slowly cascading over the previously blue sky. I sighed and looked down into y/n's garden seeing her sitting on the swing gently moving her legs back and forth. My breath hitched as her silky hair swayed in the breeze of the wind and she looked up to my window catching each others eye line. She bowed her head and I placed my guitar down and headed back to the window.

My palms were pressed against either side of the window frame and my fingers gripped the edge. She was gone. Within the few seconds it took me to place my guitar down she disappeared once again from my reach and the weather reflected my mood; dull and dreary.

I shook my head before pushing away from the window and running out of the house and towards her doorway. The rain soaked through my top and my hair flattened against my head. The cold rain water ran down my cheeks similar to her when I left.

I banged on her door and she pulled it open. She suddenly widened her eyes as she saw me. Butterflies instantly erupted in my stomach and performing to millions didn't stop me from being nervous around her.

"Shawn" she breathed.

"I'm sorry!" I pleaded. "It's hard, I keep seeing you everywhere I go! I hear you all the time and I smell the same perfume that you always used to wear. I'm sorry."

"What are you doing-"

"I miss you okay, I miss my childhood bestfriend, I miss my first love and I miss the memories that we created. I remember everything from when were children running around in your garden swinging on your swing and I can't get you off my mind. Everything just leads me back to you."

"But what about your fans?" She questioned. She was debating something in her head I knew it. The way her eyebrows furrowed and she tugged at the inside of her mouth with her teeth. I raised my hand to her cheek and shook my head slightly.

"They don't matter, nothing matters if I'm not with you. Cause if the whole world was watching I'd still dance with you and I'd drive through highways and boundaries just to sand next to you cause nothing's the same if I haven't got you with me."

"Why are you doing this? We haven't spoken for a year and all of a sudden you come waltzing back into my life. Do you realise how much you hurt me?" I lowered my hand from her dance and we both gazed as the wet, dull pavement.

"I do and I regret it. I was overwhelmed. The fans, the money, the travelling. Everything was too much for me but I soon realised none of it mattered it I didn't have you sharing it with me. And I want to tell your everything, the things I never said to you the first time around"

The sound of thunder echoed through the air and she pulled me into the house out of the rain. She sighed before pulling me to her room. My bare feet were cold and my shirt was basically see through. (You lucky girl)

Everything was the same, her room was little maturer but every inch of it was still filled with y/n's personality.

"Wait here"  she ordered. I nodded and stood awkwardly glancing at everything around the room. Strangely enough a white flowered frame besides her bed caught my attention. I picked it up and ran my wet fingers over it; me and her. Smiling. Together.

"Shawn" she sniffled. I turned to face her and her eyes were slightly red and her cheeks were glossed by small tears. "I miss you" I closed my eyes and she ran to my embracing me in her arms. She cried into my damp chest. A sigh left my lips.

"I love you. I still love you." I whispered into her hair as I placed a gentle kiss on the top of her head.

"Ditto" she chuckled slightly. A large smile spread across my face and I nuzzled myself into her.
