I was woken up by the distance sound of piano keys and tiny voice muttering a few lyrics. I balled my fists and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. I looked at the clock on my phone which read 7:55pm and let out a yawn before swinging my legs over the side of the bed and letting my feet melt into the soft, plush carpet.

I placed my hands on the bump of my stomach and made my way down the hall and to the balcony which overlooked the large foyer of our house. The piano was situated underneath it and there was a glass vase filled with beautiful red roses placed on top.

Beneath me Shawn was sat on the piano chair with our four-year-old daughter singing and playing a long to Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.  Her small voice echoed through the house and Shawn's piano skills did the same. He used his voice to guide her melody and to help her out with the lyrics. I smiled as she crawled onto his lap and cuddled into him. He wrapped her up in his arms and pressed a kiss onto her forehead.

"It's time for bed now, pumpkin." He mumbled and she nodded and clutched onto Shawn as he stood up causing the stool to make a screeching sound against the floor.

"Is mommy still in bed?" She asked.

"She might be. Our trip to the park really tired her out today, especially with carrying your little brother in her belly. He's getting big now isn't he?" He said to her and she nodded again and rested her head against his chest. He started to walk up the large stairway and I stood to the side slightly, hiding.

"He's like a big elephant." She chuckled. "He makes mommy look really fat." My eyes widened and Shawn laughed but shushed her.

"That's not nice. Don't tell mommy though she might get offended"

"It's not her fault, my brother has a fatty bum bum." She reasoned and I let out a silent giggle which was covered by a hearty laugh from Shawn.

There was silence for about 20 seconds as he finished walking up the stairs and into her room. I followed behind quietly and stood besides the door.

"Daddy," Shawn hummed and continued to tuck her into her bed. "You know when Baby Isaac comes?"

"Yes?" Shawn's said with a questionable voice and placed her into the bed.

"You and mummy won't leave me will you?" She mumbled. My heart jumped at her words and I moved into the doorway and looked at Shawn bent down over her, gently stroking her hair.

"Oh, Princess, never ever ever will me and mommy leave you. Never!"

"You won't stop loving me?"

"Nope!" He said popping the p. "I love you more than anything and I always will. And so does mommy."

"Okay." She nodded. He tucked her covers underneath her like a sausage and she laughed as Shawn sat on the little pink chair besides her bed.

"Now, sweet dream, princess." Shawn pressed a kiss onto her forehead. "I love you."

"I love you too, Daddy." She wrapped her arms around his neck and cuddled him before she released and tossed into a comfortable position.

"Goodnight." He said as he walked over to the door and switched out her lights. He shut it and jumped when he saw me leaning against the wall. "How long have you been awake?" He placed his hands on my hips and smiled down at me.

"Since the final chorus of Twinkle, Twinkle." I chuckled.

"I didn't even know you were awake." He paused in deep thought. "Did you hear what she said?" I nodded and he sighed. "I want to do something for her. I can't have my little Princess Penelope feeling that."
