Meeting My Mate In a Coffee Shop

(Ryder's POV)

"Dude I swear our dads are going to drive me crazy with all these meetings and them lecturing us about how a good Alpha and Beta should act." Lance said shaking his head and looking out the window.

"I know, it seems like everything I do is wrong in my dad's eyes." I said rolling my eyes.

"Okay, I'm done talking about pack stuff. Want to go get some coffee?" Lance asked.

"Sure. It'll be nice to finally get away," I said nodding my head.

When we got closer to the coffee shop, my wolf started to stir and started acting super weird.

What the hell are you doing?

I don't know, I can't tell what it is but it's something.

I rolled my eyes and that's when I smelt the most amazing scent ever, it smelt like Japanese Cherry Blossom. It was faint but the closer we got to the coffee shop it was getting stronger and my wolf was getting more and more relentless.

Drive quicker.

He didn't speak again but I could feel him pacing around. When we got to the coffee shop, we walked in and saw that it was pretty empty except for a few people.

Lance turned towards me and held his hand out in a fist, "Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who goes and orders?"

I rolled my eyes, "You are so childish, but you're on."

After three rounds of rock paper scissors, I lost and had to go order. I wasn't paying attention and ran into the girl who had just got her order. The two cups of coffee spilled all over the front of her sweatshirt and she sighed.

"My day just got better," She mumbled before turning and grabbing napkins off the counter.

I crouched down with her and started to pick up the soaking wet napkins while she wiped up the coffee, I went to grab the cup and her hand landed on mine. Thousands of tiny shocks went through my hand and when she looked up and our eyes met which made my wolf go crazy.

I just kept looking into her gorgeous blue-green eyes before she finally broke it and stood up that's when it clicked she was my mate. I shook my head and grabbed both the empty plastic cups and threw them away before looking at her.

"I am so sorry let me buy you another cup of coffee," I said.

"It's okay I can buy them again." She said wiping the coffee off her sweatshirt.

"I insist." I said handing her more napkins.

"Really, its okay I didn't want to drink it anyway," she said sarcastically but with a playful tone.

I chuckled and she cracked a smile "You sure you don't want me to buy you another coffee?" I asked feeling really bad about what happened.

"Yeah it's fine, I'll just con my friend into buying me some," she said, "I guess I should let you order."

She quickly stepped out of the way and I heard her walk away. My wolf grumbled something inaudible but I didn't have a chance to hear what he was saying since the cashier smiled at me and asked if I wanted the usual. Nodding, I looked at Lance whose eyes were on a blonde haired girl, who had just walked into the shop, and by the way his eyes were glazed over I assumed he was talking with his wolf. I grabbed our coffee and walked over to where Lance was, who was casually glancing over at my mate and the other girl.
