Chapter 40

We were about to run back in the woods but we were stopped by my dad standing in our way with a knife. He seemed ticked off

"I thought when i came and got you, you promised not to tell your friends where you were and you also promised you would be bounded to Blake"

"I didnt call them, tell them, or write them because you took all that away and i wished they didnt come"

I felt all eyes on my and i didnt look them in the eyes. 

"I have a feeling your lying"

"I am not lying"

"Ok to prove i want to say you have no feelings for Ryder and you never did and you are head over heels for Blake"

I am pretty sure i stopped breathing and i stared at the ground.

"Im waiting or if you dont want to say it i have to make you say it"

I look to Ryder and see his eyes are on me. 

"I have no feelings for Ryder i never did i am head over heels for Blake"

I was in tears before i even finished the sentence. I turned towards my dad and Ben snuck up behind him and put him in a headlock. My dad smirked and the next thing i knew the dagger was out of his hands. I waited for the pain but it never came i looked around and saw Lance leaning over something and my heart stopped. I was getting sick of the dress so i just ripped it so it was mid thigh. I ran over to Lance and saw Torey laying on the ground staring at the sky. I grabbed her hand and she looked at me

"Hey Phoe"

"Hey T"

It came out in a croak and she smiled but winced in pain.

"Look Phoe this isnt your fault"

"Of course it is T if i didnt leave with him you wouldnt be hurt"

"What are best friends for, you know i was hoping i would live my life a little longer"

"Your making this out of here alive"

We both look at Lance and he looks like he is about to cry. Torey winces again and kisses Lances cheek thats when she closes her eyes. Lance looks at me and there is sadness and i think i see anger in them to.

"She just passed out from blood loss but if we get her back in time she may be ok"

He shifted into his wolf and i laid her on his back and he ran through the bushes. I look over at Ben and see he is staring at my dead dads body. I cringe and Ryder comes over to me

"You ready to head home?"

"Yeah"

I dont share eye contact with him and i walk beside him back to the house.
