Chapter 22

Ryder

After Phoenix left i was confused at why she was acting so funny and why when Lance and I came home Torey was crying. She said that her and Phoenix had a huge fight and Phoenix was pissed off about something but wouldnt tell us what. I have been trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together at why she would be mad at me. I couldnt figure it out so i ran upstairs to see what i could get out of her. I went up to the room but stopped when i heard her talking to someone. I pushed my ear up to the door and used my wolf hearing to listen in.

"Thats not fair though he just cant come and do that"

"How am i not suppose to get mad at this Colt?"

"Why does he all of a sudden want to come into our lifes?"

"WHAT! but does he know that i have a mate"

"I dont care if it is his packs rules we dont live there it doesnt apply to us"

"Colt i cant do that to Ryder"

"Yes i know what he did was wrong but still from what i learned you feel like half your soul is gone like how i feel this moment but..."

"Fine Colt i will talk to you later"

I heard her sigh in defeat and thats when i decided to open the door. She was staring at the ceiling but when i came in she looked at me and i knew she was trying not to cry. My wolf told me to go to her bit i was hesitant. I moved over to her slowly and pulled her into my chest. She did a sad chuckle 

"I hate your guts right now you know that right wolf boy but i need some comfort right now"

"Maybe i can try and fix what i did?"

She got up and grabbed her phone. She started to look through her phones gallery until she found what she was looking for. She handed me her phone and she had a picture of me with that one girl who was following me around all day and wouldnt leave me alone.

"Phoenix this is not what it looks like"

"What it looks like is that you are cheating on me?"

"No that girl and her friend were following us around and wouldnt leave us alone"

"I dont know if you didnt like her why didnt you do anything about her hanging off your arm"

"I couldnt hit a girl in public"

"Ooo good excuse havent heard that one before" 

She went to get up but i pulled her back down. I set her in my lap so she was straddling me and i made her look me in my eyes.

"I would never replace you for anyone in this entire world. The only reason i didnt do anything the stop her i was thinking of you. Every minute i have that i am not spending with you my mind is thinking of you i was yelled at by my dad before we left because we were in the meeting and i was day dreaming of us."

"That still doesnt tell me anything about why the hell you were with that girl"

Phoenix

After i said that i waited for his answer.  

"Lance and i were in that store when they came up to us they were really clingy and we couldnt get them off of us. They finally left us alone and thats when we met up with you two again. They met up with us again when we were at the ice cream parlor at i guess thats when you saw us. We came out and you two werent there we panic and we followed your scent back here."

I looked into his eyes and saw he was putting all the truth forward.

"I am going to regret this but i forgive you"

He crashed his lips onto mine and i kissed back. When we broke apart he kissed the tip of my nose.

"So are we still on for tonight" He asked with worry in his voice.

"Of course wolf boy"

I peck his lips and walk out of the room. 

"Where are you going?"

"I got a best friend to apologize to if you dont mind"

"Ok just dont take to long"

"Ok"

I walk over to Toreys room. I knock on the door and she opens it.

"Hey T can we talk?"

"Sure"

She pats the bed next to her.

"Look i am sorry for yelling its just that i thought he was cheating on me and i just couldnt stand it"

"Its ok Phoe after our argument i started to believe it to but then Lance explained it to me and i forgave him"

"Thats good i am just happy i have my best friend back"

We hug and i went back to my room to get ready. Once i was done i stared at myself in the mirror my hair was down and curled, i had sparkly blue eyeshadow with mascara and eyeliner. After i did some minor adjustments i went out to the room.

Authors note:

Basketball was canceled so i was able to update the next chapter will be the date YAY! i have thought hard on how this will affect the future of the story and made some adjustments. i may be able to update later tonight or possibly tomorrow but i have a game tomorrow i will try my best though. I am thinking of writing another book if i get 3 votes i will give a sneak peek of it in the next chapter.
