3- The Catch Up

BUFFY'S POV

'So are the rest coming?' Giles asks me as we sit at a table in Sunnydale's finest restaurant.

'No, I was telling Spike before, Tara and Willow are still in Rome and Xander and Anya are in Paris' I reply

'Oh, I can't believe it's been 8 months since we fought that Bearack Demon' Giles exclaims 'and it's been about 5 years now since you killed Angelus?'

'Yep!' Spike says proudly '5 years'

'Yes' I laugh '5 years, we check on the ashes atleast once a month, they're still there'

'Good! I imagine no one knows where his ashes are buried besides us' Giles reminds me

'Yes just the Scooby gang' I reply

'8 months and no activity though, it's hard to believe' Giles says staring around the restaurant

'Don't jinx it' Spike snaps 'lets just let it be'

'Sorry'

'No Giles don't be silly, I understand. It seems strange which worries me but I agree with Spike let's just let it be for a while' I smile trying to calm the tension.

'Yes, right sorry' he muttered

'How's your book going?' I asked

'Quite good, people seem enthusiastic about a third. Who knew there was such a wide community who are interested in demons' Giles laughed

'Not me' I replied. After defeating Angelus Giles moved back to England for a while and started writing books on demons; how to defeat them, what they look like, how they react and his own personal experiences with them. He's become some what of a stud back in England. He still owns his house here in Sunnydale and somehow is earning a lot of money for it, I still don't understand real estate.

'Do you want to spend the night with us? And then we'll help with your house tomorrow, who knows what has happened in 8 months' I ask

'That would be lovely Buffy thank you' Giles smiles

'Shall we get going then? I can drive if you want Buffy?' Spike asks me

'Yes please Spike, thank you' I smiled sleepily at him.
