32- Loves bitch

SPIKE'S POV

Jessica woke up a few hours later while Buffy and I were watching TV.

'Hey' Buffy said 'How'd you sleep?'

'Fine, thank you' she replied

'Do you want something to drink? I'll get it for you' Buffy offered standing and making her way to the kitchen.

I gave Jessica an awkward smile and she joined me on the lounge.

'Does she bring you blood as well?' Jessica asked me

'Yeah sometimes, and I make her food as well. It's not weird'

'I wanted to say I'm sorry' she told me not looking me in the eye 'what I said to you while I was packing, that was really low'

'It's fine, you're definitely not the first to say it, I'm used to it' I replied

'I don't think that's true anymore though, you and Buffy are great together' she smiled

'We are, thanks' I smirked

Jessica got up and joined Buffy in the kitchen, I could see Buffy handing her the cup and then Buffy came back and sat with me. I put my arm around her and we continued to watch the TV but I could tell she wasn't really paying attention.

'What's up?' I asked her

'I overheard you and Jessica talking' she mumbled

'Then you would have heard that she thinks we're a great couple' I laughed

'Yeah, I did, but also the other stuff'

'Yeah, well, I'm over that' I told her firmly

'I also heard what she said when we were at her hotel the other day; you know I don't think any of that right? I don't think you're weak or anything' she continued

'I told you, I'm fine and over it' I said again

'Why won't you talk to me?' Buffy asked 'I just want to talk that's all'

'Well I don't want to talk about me being a weak vampire in love' I snapped

'I thought you were loves bitch? I thought you were man enough to admit it'

'Don't use my own words against me Buffy, I love you and I wouldn't change any of that, it's just hard going from what I was to this, so everyone is right I am weaker now because I love you, but so what loving you makes me weak but I don't care because I wouldn't change that for the world. I'm proud to love you' I told her

'I love you too' she smiled
