Trust

•Dan's POV•

"Dan, I don't want you to see Y/N anymore."

The words echo through my mind.
I can't not see Y/N anymore. We're friends, that's all. But then I'm going out with Lottie. I should be able to do anything for her. What should I do?

"Dan? Are you still there?"

"Lottie. I'm sorry, but I can't do that" I say calmly.
"WHAT?" She screams.
"I cannot do that. I am friends with Y/N. That's all. Do you not trust me?"

"I don't trust you." The words echo through my head again.

"Then I guess this isn't gonna work."
"I guess not. Goodbye Dan" and with that, she hangs up.

"Dan. Are you ok?" Phil yells from the front room.
Slowly, I walk into the room that contains Y/N and Phil.
Y/N sees my face. "What's wrong?"

"Me and Lottie just broke up" I mutter.
They both look at each other, then me.
"Are you ok?" Y/N pulls me onto the sofa.

"Yeah. Surprisingly, I'm ok" I'm in shock.
"Really?" Phil looks as surprised as I feel.
"Why did you break up with her?"

"Well. She broke up with me"
"Why?" Y/N asks.
"She. She. She didn't want me to see. See Y/N anymore"
Y/N looks confused. "What? Why?"
"She thought I still like you"

•Y/N's POV•

"She thought I still like you"

You feel your face fall slightly. You were hoping, praying he still liked you. Yet he doesn't.

"I'm sorry" You repeated.
"I'm honestly fine"

Why is he fine? He's just broken up with his girlfriend!

"Ok then. Can I speak with you?"
Phil pulls Dan out the room.

I turn my attention back to the TV.
