-Stella Hart-
"You absolute weasel-faced asshole!"
Transfiguration had barely finished when Lily hurled herself at James.
We had both kept our head down during the class after all of the shit that had gone down but since neither of us had seen James since his name had been called last night, Lily's pent up anger exploded.
She shoved him up against the stone arch that led into the courtyard, a face like thunder.
"Asshole, yes. But weasel-faced? C'mon Evans." James teased not fased at all by her outburst.
"You're right." She sighed, backing off.
"What?" Remus and I said in unison and even James looked skeptical.
"That's an insult to weasels!" She hollared and shoved him again.
Ah. Thats my girl.
"Have you lost your mind?" She cried.
"Lily I-" James started but Lily cut him off.
"Because you must have, if you thought that entering the Tri-Wizard Tournament was a good idea!" She yelled pushing off from him.
"C'mon..." James trailed off giving her a small hopeful smile.
"No! You're an idiot!"
All the playfulness dropped off of James' face.
"You were fine with Stella putting her name in!" He shot back, finally getting serious.
"Are you joking? Were you not there when we begged her to re-consider and questioned her insanity? Or could you just not hear us over the sound of your ego?" Lily fired back.
Okay, this was getting too much now and one look at Sirius told me we needed to diffuse the situation.
"Lily," I mumurred, wrapping my arm around her shoulder, "Cool down." I whispered.
It was a running joke with us that everytime Lily got mad we would tell her to 'cool down' instead of 'calm down' because her cheeks flushed bright red and matched her hair and she looked like she would explode in 3, 2, 1.
Sirius was pulling James away too and even though we were all going to the same class, we walked in different directions.
"I hope you know what you're doing, Potter." Lily called over her shoulder.
"That sounds a lot like you care about me." James called back and suddenly the playful nature of their relationship was back.
"Absolutely not." She fired back.
Even from across the hallway you could hear the smile in James' voice as he whispered to Sirius.
