Scenario number twenty-seven

Special Characters: Zeydon, Tina, Harry, Eleanor.

It's near midnight and Tina couldn't fall asleep.

She stayed up all night, studying for the finals, and also thinking about Alexa and George's situation. She could not believe that Alexa and George have gone through so much without making their problems obvious.

With a sigh, Tina decides to go out to the porch. She then sees her half-brother, Zeydon, outside.

She notices the redness in Zeydon's eyes and hears him sniffing. "Are you crying?" Tina asks, concerned.

Zeydon looks at her, surprised. He immediately looks up at the sky. "No, I'm not." He lies, avoiding her gaze.

"Come on, tell me," Tina softly says. "I'm your sister now."

"I saw her today." Zeydon says gently, "she looked so happy with him."

Tina raises both of her eyebrows. "Who?"

"My ex-girlfriend." Zeydon confesses with a sly grin, "she was with this boy. She looked so happy with him."

"Your ex?" Tina nods in understanding. "What's her name?"

Zeydon looks at Tina. "I won't tell you," he responds, "but I will tell you why she and I broke up."

Fair trade. "Why did you two break up?"

"I kissed another girl when I was in a relationship with her."

His bluntness makes Tina shocked. "Well, that's an idiotic move," she responds shortly.

"You don't understand... she... she... I saw her with another guy... and I assumed she was cheating on me so I kind of tried to make her jealous..." Zeydon says through gritted teeth, "but it turned out so wrong."

"That's complicated." Tina shares. And immature. "do you still love her?"

Zeydon shrugs his shoulders. "I think I still do. But she's still in college though. It'll be hard." Zeydon coughs, "do you have.. some advice?"

Tina chuckles, "I suggest you talk to her about your feelings, say it all out. I promise you it'd be alright in the end."

Zeydon smiles, taking in her advice for consideration. After a few seconds of silence, he changes the topic. "So how's your boy? The one who gave you that kiss?"

"Ewww!" Tina glares at Zeydon, who is wearing a smug look, "I hate him, Zeydon. He's so annoying—"

"Last time I checked, you were the one who kept bugging him." Zeydon raises an eyebrow. "You told me that—"

Tina shoves Zeydon. "You're making me feel bad."

"You should be, you punched the poor guy—"

"He was being a jerk!"

"I saw him perform CPR on you. He didn't even know how," Zeydon informs her with a weird look on his face, "he just went for your lips after checking for a pulse."

Tina stays silent. "I suggest you apologize to him, or like... just talk to him about it." Zeydon persuades her.

"I never asked for your advice." Tina returns.

Zeydon whines. "Just being a good brother," his expression changes. "You know, I can't wait to find out who murdered my parents."

Tina turns to him. "Your parents... were murdered?"

"I believe so," Zeydon mutters. "It's a long story. Anyways, you need to sleep. I'll be going to my room too." Before Tina can say something, Zeydon has already walked away.

"What is— oh." Harry frowns when he sees Eleanor on his doorstep. "What are you doing here?"

Eleanor purses her lips. "Is it true?"

"What is?"

"That you're dropping out of school?" Eleanor specifies, "you're kidding, right? There's only, like, a week left before school ends! You can't leave! Not now."

"I'm moving out of the country." Harry comments dully, refusing to give in. "I'm going to Spain."

Eleanor turns pale. "Y-You are?"

"Yeah, Barcelona awaits me." Harry confirms, "my mother wants me to go there—"

"I don't understand... why would you want to go with someone who abandoned you and your father for years!?" Eleanor blurts out, her rudeness shocking Harry.

But then again, she's Eleanor. Harry glares at her. "My father is dying, Eleanor. That's why I have to act like she's always here for me. She'll help me take over our companies soon with my dad."

Eleanor stares at him, hurt and guilty. "I'm so sorry."

"Also because you're better off without me." Harry adds flatly, "I'm leaving the day after tomorrow, so forget about the stupid kiss."

"I-it wasn't stupid!" Eleanor yells defensively. Wait, what the hell am I doing?

"Don't act so stubborn, El! It meant nothing to me, so it's best if you forget about it too." Harry slams the door before she can say anything else.

Eleanor stands still, unable to move. Is Harry really going to leave the country? Did the kiss really mean nothing to him?
