"Mayday." Was all I sent him. I was curious to see how Mark would stop Seulki from being a straight and utter bitch to me, to be quite frank. I had no other choice than do the dishes as she said. If I didn't, I would face my father's anger while he'd embrace Seulki who would have crocodile tears in her eyes. She told everyone I bullied her, what a joke.
As I neared the kitchen, the viper ran past me and started filling the sink with warm water.
"What's gotten into you?" My father asked.
"Mark said he liked girls who are good at doing household chores." She said, taking a selfie in front of the sink to probably send it to Mark.
"That smartass." I muttered to myself and got back upstairs.
"How did you do that?" I texted Mark. It's like he knew exactly what was going on.
"Do what? Get her to do her own chores? I've got my ways." I got his reply shortly after I sent my text.
"But how did you get her to actually obey?"
"Easy. Every lady wants a piece of me ;)"
Was he for real? He was acting a bit too cocky for my liking.
"Do you often trick girls like that..?"
"Never. At least never when the girl is a respectful person. I don't like people who act as if you owe them everything, regardless of the gender."
I liked his words. He was definitely clever. Where did Seulki find him, that was the big question. I kinda wanted to know more of him.
"You're a good guy." That was my final text for the day. Next thing I did was drift off to sleep as I was to get some good news the following day.
The next day, when my last class of the day eventually came to an end, I walked up to my professor.
"You wanted to give me good news, sir?" I asked.
"Ah yes. Remember the internship that is part of the curriculum? Well, a friend of mine, Park Jinyoung, is looking for a cameraman, or camerawoman in your case, and he's willing to give you an internship of six months, seen as you are the best student of this class. That's the key to your degree." I couldn't believe my ears.
"Park Jinyoung, the CEO of JYP Entertainment?"
"The one and only. I have some papers he gave me that you need to fill in and turn in at the reception of the JYP Entertainment building here in Seoul, in maximum three days." My professor handed me a bunch of sheets of paper. I bowed so much I thought my back was gonna break.
"Thank you so much, songsaengnim, I won't deceive you!" I exclaimed, joy evident in my voice. To that, he just smiled and told me I could leave.

As it was still early, I decided to go to JYP Entertainment already. As I walked to the reception desk, I looked around wide-eyed. It sure was a big building.
"Hello, I'm here to turn in some paper for an internship. I'm a student of the multimedia department of K-Arts University." I said to the lady at the front desk who looked up at me and then smiled.
"Ah yes, I've been told a student would come. Can you give me the registration paper? It's the yellow sheet." I looked through the bunch of papers and handed the required one.
"Song (Y/N)?" JYP himself appeared behind the counter, even the lady looked taken aback.
"Y-Yes, hello." I bowed to him.
"You were fast to come, I thought you'd take your time."
"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, sir. I thought the earlier, the better." He nodded, and took the papers I had brought from me.
"You can start tomorrow. You should be there by 8, someone will show you around so you don't feel too lost and I'll introduce you to the people you'll be working with." JYP said with a warm smile. I nodded frantically, all those hours of studying and practicing paid off as I would now be able to work in a big company. The reason cameramen were needed was for the various shows about the idols working under the company. Editing was also part of the job.
"Thank you, sir." I bowed over and over again, as I said, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
"I'll see you tomorrow then."
"Yes, sir!" And with that, I walked out the door with a huge smile on my face.

I got home at around 5pm, I hadn't texted Mark the whole day, which was a pity because I didn't want to only text him when Seulki was being a pain in the neck.
"Where were you?" My father asked me. Yes, he still got curious about me from time to time.
"I was giving out some papers for school. I'll start an internship tomorrow." I answered with a honest smile.
"Somebody wants you? That's a first!" Seulki walked in and bumped me in the shoulder. I looked at my father who didn't look phased at all, that's what saddened me, he couldn't defend me even once.
"At least I don't have to spread my legs to be wanted." My blood started boiling as the words rolled off my tongue. I could be harsh sometimes, but in my mind, she deserved it. Before she could reply, I dashed off to my room and locked the door behind me. Now would be a good time to see how Mark's doing.
"Hello, hello! What's up?" I sent and sat at my computer. I figured I could kill some time before having to go back downstairs to my so called 'family'.
"I'm hanging out with my dongsaengs. You seem happier than usual" Mark replied in a matter of seconds, and for some reason, I found myself smiling brightly at my phone.
"That's because I'm starting my internship tomorrow and I'm so excited to start." I actually found it pleasant to talk to Mark about things other than my stepsister. For some reason, I thought he was easy to talk to.
"That's great, good luck for tomorrow! I have to go, I'll talk to you later." It was the last I've heard from him for that day but frankly, I was too happy to care.
