Jessica's POV
"Where is the nearest forest?" I ask Kira, sat on her couch munching on a packet of Doritos.
"Epping Forest I think. Why?" Kira glances at me from her kitchen as she was making a meal for herself. She had the type of flat that had a conjoined kitchen and living room. Her flat was small, I had to admit. It was quite a change from what I was used to, but, I wasn't complaining. It was a two bedroom flat with one bathroom and one toilet. It was pretty awkward sometimes.
My wolf has been feeling very antsy so I was hoping I'd be able to take her for a run.
"I love forests and I haven't seen one in a while." That's only partly true.
"If you want, I can come with you whenever you want to go. They can get real creepy." Kira offers, bringing her plate of noodles and plopping down beside me.
Come with so she can die of shock when I become a werewolf? No thank you. "No its fine. I like to go alone most of the time. Thanks for the offer though." She shrugs and she starts slurping on her noodles furiously.
For the last two weeks, I've been living with Kira as her roommate. Crazy, I know. She offered once we kept meeting each other and my hotel was charging quite a bit so of course I accepted. I didn't think it was too bad living with a human.
After about twenty minutes of me hearing her chew in my ear while browsing on my phone, she places her bowl down and turns to me. "I'm going out, I think I want to go shopping. Do you want me to drop you off at the forest along the way?"
Well, I hadn't planned on going right now, but any day was good for me. "Yeah. Thanks. I'll just get my stuff." I walk to my room hearing her footsteps behind me as she makes her way to her own room. As I open the door, I make my way to my wardrobe, opening it and taking out a spare outfit just in case. I glance around the room making sure I didn't leave anything behind. I had a small room which only had only a bed, wardrobe and a few other things. I grab my backpack, shoving the clothes in before throwing it over my back before walking out, closing the door behind me gently.
I walk down the hall noticing Kira on her phone, a bag balanced on her shoulder. She looks up hearing me approach, placing her phone in her pocket, straightening up. "Let's go." Kira opens the door and holds it for me. I walk out and shut it. I get her keys and lock the door.
As we were walking out of the estate, she turned to me slightly, asking, "Want me to pick you up or can you make your way back by yourself?" We get into her small silver car and I sit down in the passenger seat.
"I'll get back by myself don't worry." I reassure her, putting my seat belt on.
Through the review mirror, I notice her eyebrows raise as if she was surprised I had the guts to go around London by myself. I held bad the urge to roll my eyes at her reaction. I was an adult, just because I wasn't from around here, didn't mean I'd immediately run into trouble.
"Alright. Don't say I didn't warn you. Anyways, my friend's are having a small get together so, don't expect me to be back before midnight." Kira shrugs at me, turning the keys in the ignition, the old car starting up with a rusty noise loudly coming from the engine.
"Sure." This just meant I had more time to myself.

"Remember what I told you, don't stay out too late." Kira reminds me from the window, her eyes warning but teasing. I roll my eyes and put my thumbs up.
