Fools Gold - One Direction

Harry-

"You're doing great baby." I assure Sara as she pulls onto the freeway, it's been two weeks since we got back from Tahoe. Two weeks since her sister asked her to move home. Sara told her she'd think about it but she doesn't talk about it with me, it's like she's scared of how I would react if she did want to go home.

I don't want her to, don't get me wrong but it's her choice and I cannot make that for her.

Since that night Sara's been working on her fears, the most serious one was driving. We had made her a test appointment which was coming up in a few days so all of her time outside of school was spent re-learning how to drive. The first few days were hard, she would have flashbacks to her accident and breakdown.

But she never quit, she just pushed past the fear and kept going. If it was at all possible for me to fall even more in love with her, I did. Sara is so fucking strong, she's been through hell and back but she's absolutely thriving. She's a good driver too, very safe and cautious but confident enough.

She doesn't like driving my sports car though since it's a stick but she loves my Range Rover which gave me an idea.

"We're almost there." I text Liam as Sara nears the restaurant where we were going to be having dinner. I see her chewing her lip nervously out of the corner of my eye, she said she needed to talk to me about something but wouldn't say what.

After I text Liam where we parked we head inside and get a table by the window, I make sure that Sara's seat is facing away from the window before sitting down and ordering some drinks.

"Baby whats wrong?" I ask as I take Sara's hands, she looks down and lets out a breath.

"Please don't be mad at me." She says softly no looking at me and my heart drops.

"Sara you're scaring me, what's going on?" I ask and she sighs.

"I've been thinking about it and I want to move back home with Vanessa."

"That's it?" I shrug and she furrows her brows.

"You're not upset?" She asks and I smile at her reassuringly.

"Of course not love, she's your sister Sara. Why would I be mad?"

"I mean it's not like I don't like living with you Harry, I'm so young and still in school and I can't help but feel like a burden to you especially since you have to drive me everywhere and now I'm taking my driving test which would of never been possible with out you but I don't even have a car and-"

"Baby you're ranting." I interrupt her before she explodes. "I love that beautiful brain of yours but sometimes you think too much. Just because you're moving back with your sister which i support although am skeptical about by the way, it doesn't mean we can't still be together. Right?"

"Of course not, there is no one in this world I would rather be with Harry. Plus I'm sure Vanessa won't mind you being over a lot." She assures me and I smile at her, I can't control her. I want to but I can't. I'm afraid that Vanessa wants her to come home just so she isn't alone anymore or that she wants Sara to pick up her chores and cooking again. I can't help feeling like she's going to be used in someway again and that I simply won't allow.

I'm not going to stop her from moving home but you bet your ass that I will step in if Sara is in danger of being hurt or used again.

"She better not cause I'm not going anywhere." I smirk and Sara gives me a relieved smile, I feel bad that she's felt this way for who knows how long. That she had been dreading talking to me about it when it really isn't a big deal, yes I'll miss sleeping with her every night and waking up to her every morning but I'm sure we will be able to get enough time together. Plus I don't want to suffocate her, I don't want her to resent me years down the line because she never had freedom or was too worried about how I would feel.

"I just don't know how the car situation will work, I mean I can't rely on you and Emily to drive me around and I don't get my inheritance until after I graduate. But none of that even matters if I don't pass the test does it?" Sara sighs and I can tell she's stressing out.

"You'll pass Sara, you're a good driver and you don't need to worry about the car-"

"No Harry, I mean I know you have another and a motorcycle but I can't borrow your Range Rover." She interrupts me and I chuckle.

"You won't have to love." I smirk pulling a box from my coat packet. "I wanted to give you your birthday present a little early."

"It's not for over two months Harry." She scolds and I shrug.

"Technicalities."

"These are your keys." Sara says opening the box.

"No, they're your keys." I say grinning and her eyes widen. "It's right behind you love."

"Harry I can't take your Range Rover, you worked so hard for it." She sighs and I shake my head.

"Baby, mine is green not blue."
