thankful

The holiday season was probably one of my favorite times of the year. I loved the scents of the season, how happy (almost) everyone was, and the music that played. I loved the warm sweaters people wore and how cozy we all looked. I loved all of it.

I especially loved the fact that at thanksgiving we could all sit around, eat as much food as we wanted, and just talk about life.

I was currently getting ready for thanksgiving at the Avengers Compound with Peter. I was extremely excited. Not just because I would be once again hanging out with the Avengers, but because Peter invited me. Not only was he my best friend, but there was always something about him that I liked. And

I put a black skirt on, pulling some knee high socks on, before putting a cropped white sweater over the bralette I was wearing. I did a rose gold eye makeup look, and used some mascara and blush and highlighter. I put on a darker shaded maroon lipstick, then moved onto my hair.

I curled my hair piece by piece, rolling up the curls and hobby pinning them while they were curled to make sure that they are bouncy when I take them out.

I let them sit for about twenty minutes, before taking the pins out and hairspray if the curls. I put on a necklace Peter had gotten me for my birthday, then adding some perfume to make sure I smelt good.

I heard rustling at the door and people talking, so I pulled my boots on and zipped them up. There was a knock and I grabbed my phone, opening the door. Peter was standing there, looking off to the side, laughing, probably at May or something.

"Hey Pete," I smiled, causing him to face me. He smiled a wide smile.

"Peter, stop staring at the girl and let's go!" His cheeks turned a rosy pink and I giggled.

I noticed he was staring at me and I thought something was wrong.

"Am I to dressed up?" I asked.

He shook his head and I finally realized he was wearing a dress shirt with a tie and dress shoes with khakis. He was wearing a nice winter coat over it, as it was currently very chilly outside.

"No, what your wearing is perfect," he said, causing my face to blush up.

"Come on you two, we're going to be late," May said.

We walked and talked to the car, hopping in. We drove to the Avenger's Compound and when we arrived, a bunch of people greeted Peter.

Peter introduced me to everyone and I smiled, breathing in the scent of pumpkin candles and spices.

We all talked and sat down for dinner, me sitting in between Peter and May.

Dinner was amazing, and after dinner, Vision brought out dessert, which was even better.

"Mr. Stark, can I show Y/N around?"

Mr. Stark nodded and I got up, Peter taking my hand in his to show me around. He showed me everything before bringing me outside.

There were lights everywhere, and I couldn't help but smile at him.

"Peter, this is beautiful," I smiled.

"Thank you,"

We sat and looked at the stars, and I leaned my head onto his shoulder.

"Are you cold?" He asked, turning to face me.

"Kinda,"

He took his jacket off and I shook my head.

"No, Peter I'm not taking your jacket, your going to be cold,"

He shook his head.

"No, I'm fine, Y/N, take it, please," he said, draping the jacket over my shoulders.

"Thank you, Peter,"

He nodded, taking his phone out, playing "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran.

"May I have this dance?"

I giggled and nodded, wrapping my arms around his neck, he wrapped his arms around my waist, and I rested my head on his chest.

The lyrics softly played and I looked up at Peter, who was softly singing the words too.

His breath felt hot on my lips and he looked down at me, eyes flickering between my eyes and lips.

"We were both kids when we fell in love," Peter sang, before closing the small gap that was between us, his lips softly pressing to mine.

The kiss was sweet and passionate, and when I pulled away he smiled, pressing his forehead to mine.

"I'm thankful for you, Y/N Y/L/N," he whispered.

"And I'm thankful for you, Peter Parker,"

He softly kissed me again and I giggled.

"So, I take it that you like me too?" He asked.

And I laughed.

"It's like Ed Sheeran says," I smiled.

"We are still kids but we are so in love,"

Peter smiled and I couldn't help but let a crimson color flush across my cheeks.

"Happy Thanksgiving, Peter,"

"Happy Thanksgiving Y/N,"
