Mount Lanayru

We traveled with Aryll along the coastline until we reached the village where she had made her own life. Lurelin Village was a very beautiful place and she fit right in. She had told me some of her best memories were walking along the beach with her father and Link, which was why she found a place in Lurelin.

Before we left Aryll, she gave us a friendly suggestion to visit Tuft Mountain. The pond there supposedly brought couples together because it was shaped like a heart. As sentimental as it sounded, we decided to skip it. I was back into my narrow vision, where nothing else mattered besides gaining the sacred power and doing my part for Hyrule.

From there we traveled to the Spring of Courage after I had gotten changed into my white dress beforehand. I remember feeling guilty as I had to take the flower bracelet off in order to put the gold ones on. However, I simply gave them to Aryll so it wasn't a waste while the flowers still looked beautiful.

In the spring, I prayed from when we got there to when midnight arrived. It was then, that Link pulled me out of the waters to rest for a while. We ended up sleeping against a wall with a blanket over our shoulders. My head was on his shoulder and his head slightly drooping as he nodded on and off.

When morning came, I went back to the spring again, trying not to lose my patience with Hylia. Once night fell, Link pulled me out. I rested. And when the sun came up, I went back in. Nothing changed.

As night fell for the third time, I came out without Link having to say anything. I gave a long sigh as I sat down, leaning against the wall we had used for support the past two days while sleeping. I pressed my hand to my forehead, then through my hair as Link took his spot next to me.

"Tomorrow, we take a trip. I want to visit the Champions. My father said nothing about speaking with them, just that I couldn't have anything to do with the ancient relics. Plus, I will not stop praying to Hylia. They all have statues in their villages, so I don't consider it a waste," I said, desperate for a change of scenery.

Two months came and went as we traveled throughout Hyrule. We visited Revali and Urbosa when we were finished with the Spring of Courage and then visited Daruk and Mipha when we finished in the Spring of Power. It went on and on, in a circle.

At times we would also take a trip to Aryll to change things up a bit, but it wasn't enough to ease the fact that the power hadn't emerged yet. Even the attacks from the Yiga Clan or a throng of monsters weren't blood-pumping anymore.

One night, while I was eating with Urbosa in her throne room as Link sat outside under the huge gap in the wall, I received a message from Father. It was delivered by one of my maids.

"Your Father wishes you to come back to the castle to rest properly before you go to Mount Lanayru. He requests that the other Champions escort you there as well. And he offers this," she said handing me the Sheikah Slate, a very cruel joke that wasn't meant to be one.

Urbosa waved my maid off since her task was done. She looked at me glumly as I stared at the slate in my hands, but that wasn't the reason behind her expression. Both she and I knew that if the other two springs were the key to unlocking the power, it would've already appeared. The Spring of Wisdom was my last chance.

"I hope the best for you. And yet again, another birthday goes to a day of praying. I hate what you do to yourself already, but Mount Lanayru . . . those waters will be ice no matter the time of day."

"It will work out, Urbosa," I told her, trying to give all I had left of my hope into one sentence.

She sighed, "You should get as much sleep as you can."
