CHAPTER 23

SAMIA POV

"Denise just tell me what she having I swear I won't say nothing," I say to Denise trying to get her to tell me if Di-Di was having a girl or a boy.

"No. You gotta wait till the party just like everybody else."

"Man I'm yo cousin ain't there a family rule or some shit."

She laughs, "No there's not. Now help me pick out some decorations."

-THE GENDER REVEAL PARTY-

"You got on too much pink," Corey tells me as we walk to the building.

I was gonna come with Brandon but he's with his best friend and they went to do something. He told me he'll show up at the Party later.

"Shut up, it's not even that much pink," I say looking down at my outfit.

I have on a pink windbreaker, light blue distressed jeans, and some pink Nike Air Max. I also have a pink polo hat with a blue horse.

"Plus you got on hella blue," I add.

He has on a white and blue polo shirt, some khaki joggers, and a pair of blue and white Jordans.

"It's not even that much. Almost everything you got on is pink."

"Ok, lemme wear all this pink then," I say, playfully rolling my eyes. We finally reach the front door of the building and Corey opens the door.

We enter and I look around at the beautiful decorations. I helped pick everything out but I didn't think it was gonna look this good.

On the wall, there was a big poster hanging up that said "Touchdowns or Tutu's". We decided to incorporate football since Slim is a football player.

Underneath the poster, there's a table with a black tablecloth on top of it. There are two vases full of pink and blue M&M's. In between the two vases, there's a small stand holding some of the games we're going to play later.

In front of the black table, there is another table holding the cake, football-shaped cookies and Tutu-shaped cookies.
