On the couch is where we both slept. It wasn't the most comfortable choice, but it worked. Around midnight, I was startled awake. I looked around, sweating. I had a nightmare. Just.... A nightmare.
Sam was no longer next to me. Curious, I got up and looked for her. She wasn't in my room or the bathroom. I walked into the kitchen and froze in horror. Laito stood there. He smirked at me wickedly. Then he disappeared.
I saw something shine in the moon light coming from the window over the sink. I looked down and screamed. I ran to the pale body on the ground. A pool of blood around her. I panicked and screamed her name. I looked around and spotted the phone. I got up and ran to it. Everything felt in slow motion. I dialed 9-1-1 and they were soon on their way.
I ran back to Sam. Trying to wake her up. Screaming for this to just be a dream.
The ambulance showed up and took her. I rode behind their van to the hospital, hoping it wasn't too late.
Oh god, please let Sam be okay.
