Framed Red Glasses ~ {Chapter 3]

“There you are!” Lucy’s voice shouted in the distance, how relieved to see her sister fine; when Lucy reached Riylore she took a couple of seconds to regain her breath. “Why – why did you leave without me?” Riylore head her face to the clouds literally. Riylore knew if she Lucy would’ve kept on following then it would’ve gained the attention from not only Hisashi and sister but the other people awaiting for the papers as well. Riylore’s a smart girl and she knows what she’s capable of, she’s just been holding back herself. But if Lucy wants her to do her best then she’ll do the upmost best. “I just wanted to go on ahead without you. Can’t I be independent?” the small peaking attitude that was in Riylore’s voice brought attention to Lucy. Lucy shook it off and wrote it down as ‘she’s growing up.’ “Oh no, it’s just I don’t like to know where you are.” Riylore got offended and she gave Lucy a type of glare where parents mess up big time, Lucy took notice of what she said and tried to explain that it came out wrong apologizing to sister. All Riylore did was paid no attention but gave attention to her framed red glasses. “Oh come on Riylore it was accident!” Lucy exclaimed, Riylore knew that Lucy didn’t mean what she said, it actually came out wrong; Riylore is more worried about what’s going to be happening during her first year. She’s not just a 9th grader she’s the role model of her peers and everyone that is in the 9th grade. Hisashi, Riylore, and who ever else is in 36X are going to have to face it. They’re the smartest between everyone in the school. There is no other advance classes but them, not only they’re be lessons taught, and a face to keep in check, but they’ll be more bullying than Riylore has ever experienced.

“Shut up both of you!” A wrong and deep but feminine voice shouted over the walls. That made Lucy panic, Lucy began to find Riylore a suitable hiding spot but Riylore paid no attention she was still in her thinking position; and unmovable. Lucy was making too much noise for comfort she tried to calm herself down but it was no use. She knew that people could hear her from 3 blocks away, and possible people over the wall. It was all over for Lucy, until she found a place where they were tones of people around Riylore’s age so being the senseless person half of the time she is she pushes Riylore over there after hearing her name being called she shrieked a little. Lucy’s whole body was set to a mode where all she could do is act like as if nothing happened and act clueless to the situation. And unaware that her friends, Gray, Natsu, and Erza, along with Happy; made it swiftly to Lucy. “Hey – hey guys what are you doing here?” Lucy stuttered like she had a problem, and she twitched every time she thought that one of them was looking past her shoulder. “Oh we got a job.” Natsu said very sheeply with slight chance that he was annoyed with something. “A job? A- All the way to Mongolia Academy?” now Lucy was wondering why and how they possibly got a job for her. Erza spoke and crossed her arms, “No, it’s past the school, we just heard your voice.” Erza explained trying to put Lucy at ease seeing her friend all flustered “…but the job is associated with the school and the small town down hill.” Lucy titled her head and begun to ponder could it be the small dormitories? There’s no small town down the hill but there is something on the same level as the school’s the dormitories in that case. Lucy thought to herself and enlightened everyone – mostly Erza because Gray and Natsu were at the normal fighting. Happy’s was just cheering Natsu on, as usually. “There’s nothing else here No town or anything?” Natus stepped into the conversation Lucy is taken aback, Natsu’s can be serious but he’s has a large playful side to himself. Yes he’s a powerful wizard and he’ll unlock the inner true Dragonslayer within. That’s what Lucy fears the most, that’s one of her Lucy’s reasons for keeping Riylore a secret. “Yup there’s nothing else here but the school’s dorms. This is the end of town and the rest is just the open space of the Blackspear forest (A/N: I know that ‘Blackspear forest’ doesn’t exist in Fariy Tail but I’ll be adding new self added locations in the story.) … So the school uses the forest for an advantage to teach. But yeah nothing else here to see; just a school but there’s a town back where you come from!” Lucy tried to sounded cheery and her bubbily safe as she could but she grow weaker when Natsu mumbled ‘You haven’t told us why you are here.’ But she ignored it and went on until “Wait.” Gray swiftly walked past Lucy, so fast she couldn’t have the time to grab him again, Lucy looked in the direction Gray was heading towards. It was all over today; Gray’s heading towards the crowd of kids where Lucy sensely placed Riylore to hid. But she’ll keep quiet right? She won’t draw attention to herself right? She’s quiet and doesn’t talk to people unless she knows them. She’s shy enough; but that wasn’t the case at all.

Riylore didn’t even know how she could get herself into this situation. On her first evening at the High School branch she was already be flirted, and harassed with, she couldn’t help but to sigh and be annoyed with it. Yes it’s her sister’s fault for placing her here – so roughly she might add. Matter of fact Lucy flung her sister into the group with out thinking, and Riylore bumped into one of the guys that were beside the tree. She tried to apologize, that apologize was accepted, she thought that she could be alone and sit alone after that but no. Let her small cute figure get the best of the boys. Riylore was being questioned by so many boys that were probably older than her, and girls that kept on saying how cute she was; what really made Riylore shut off is when one of the guys took her glasses. It was like they were playing monkey in the middle, they weren’t tossing the glasses back and forth oh no. It was more like poor Riylore doing her best to get her glasses against guys that were at least 5’9, passing to one another but not passing the glasses to Riylore. Teasing that were she saw this scene, she could see her sister talking with a couple of her friends; she knew by that they were from Fairy Tail. It was sort of hard to miss since she saw them in Sorcery Weekly.  As time went on Riylore was about to give up on the guy’s games, so she decided to speak up “Uhmm-Uhmh”

“Hey, what are you guys doing?” Riylore looked behind to her to see Fairy Tail’s Gray Fullbuster. “What’s it to you?” one of the guys shot back to Gray. “I don’t like seein’ a girl being harassed in my presence.” Gray clenched his fists and sped walk towards the flock of boys having one of his hands in pocket. “I’ll take that.” He snatched Riylore’s red-framed glasses and gave them back.

“Than-thank you.” Is all she managed to get out. She was in shock; she thought she would never see the day of meeting her friends’ sisters either in accident or on purpose. She was astonished and in awe. She stood there clutching her framed glasses as she saw the Gray Fullbuster right in front of her; he came to aid her in a face of bullies.
