(Nicolette's POV)

"Magpinsan kayo?! Paano?!" parang tangang naibulalas ko.

Natawa naman yung lalaking tinawag na Exeter, "Dahil ang tatay ni Jarred at ang nanay ko ay magkapatid?" parang di pa sya sure. "Pasok na pala kayo. Anything you want? Drinks?"

Pagkaupo na'min ay agad syang nag-utos ng malamig na tubig. Pagkaalis nung inutusan nya, nakangalumbaba itong umupo at taas kilay na tiningnan kami.

"Enlighten me people, hello! Naguguluhan here!" sabad ko sabay baba ng hoodie ni Jarred

"Well, gonna tell you my story then." Exeter tsaka ito nagbuntong-hininga, "My mother had an affair with a vampire, actually he was molested and raped by a high ranking vampire official. She was so young and innocent that time, she got scared so she hid it. But her twisted faith caused her misfortune, and that's me. Nagbunga ang pambababoy ng lalaking 'yun sa kanya, and once again, she hid the fact that my father is a vampire. It's a taboo to be a halfbreed, malaking kahihiyan yun kapag kalahati ka. I was twelve back then and Jarred was seven, wala pang nakakaalam ng sekreto ko, alam ko syempre, mom explained it to me. Pero nalaman yun ng pamilya ng ama ko, and as cliché as it may sound, they assassinated us."

Sa huling sinabi nito, umiba ang timplada ng pagmumukha nya.

"Dahil sa nagtatago kami nun ni mom, natural na medyo malayo ang bahay na'min. In a middle of the night, bigla na lamang na may umatake sa'min. Ako dapat ang papatayin nila, but mom protected me. She sacrificed her own life just to save me, a halfbreed.."

"Elex, you know we don't give a damn about who are." pahayag ni Jarred

"And I'm thankful for that, cousin. Well, papatayin na'rin sana nila ako pero ayun! Dumating sina Tito Luther, Jarred's father, and saved me. To make the long story short, I didn't tell them what really happened that night and laters, I get even."

"When you said, 'you get even' what do you mean by that?"

"I killed his whole family. Every single one of them, and that's the reason why I'm here." parang balingwala lang na sabi nito.

Di ako nagsalita.

"By the way, anong maipaglilingkod ko sa inyo? And who the hell is she, cousin? Damn! Ngayon lang ulit ako nakakita ng maganda babae."

Akmang hahawakan nito ang kamay ko nang biglang umiba ang aura ni Jarred, "Fuck off, cousin, she's mine."

At ito na naman po tayo, rendehan ang puso at baka tumakbo paalis.

"Woah! Binata ka na 'couz. Nakikipagkilala lang naman ako ah. So, anong pangalan mo, magandang binibini?"

Napangiwi ako nung kinindatan nya ako. "I am Amber Nicolette Lux, you can call me Niknik or Amber."

"Lux? Holy shit! You're the missing princess! No wonder binabakuran ka na nitong pinsan ko." natatawang saad nito, "Balik tayo sa tanong ko, anong maitutulong ko?"

"Tears of Iris."

Ang ngiti nito ay nawala at napalitan ng seryosong expression.

"Tears of Iris, sorry, but I can't help you. Maari na kayong umalis."

Naikuyom ko ang kamao ko dahil sa naging sagot nito, "Jarren, she's our baby, I really need Tears of Iris to bring her back." ako as I tried explaining our side.

"'Couz, please..." Jarred

Tumayo ang lalaki at tiningnan kami, "Kahit ano pa ang dahilan ninyo, di ko pwedeng ipagkatiwala ang Tears of Iris. That's our precious treasure, and as the leader of this place, I am task to protect it even if it costs me my life."
