(Jarred's POV)

Damn! Damn! Damn!!!

I cursed again and again as I frantically looked around. I'm carrying this brat, the bridal carry, while looking for a place where we can stay. It's effin raining ang we're soaking wet! Another damn!

At sa wakas, I saw a cave. When we entered the cave, I used my mahou to create a fireball, good thing my mahou wasn't sealed here. I placed her and I gathered twigs, anything that I can burn. When everything was settled, naupo ako malayo sa kanya. Pero tae! Giniginaw sya!

Sa mga mabibigat na paa, nilapitan ko sya at kinuha ang balabal nito. Sinalubong ako ng maganda nitong mukha, I involuntarily carressed her face. She's really pretty.

At halos sabunutan ko ang sarili ko sa iniisip ko. I even ignored my heart, I used my mahou and created another fireball, I let it float around us, surrounding us. Akmang aalis na ako at lilipat sa dati ko lugar nung hatakin nya ako, she hugged me tightly and I was sitting there stunned and unable to move.

Damn you heart! Stop beating so fast!! Shit!

"S-stay..." rinig kong bulong nito at mas sumiksik pa lalo sa'kin.

I sighed in defeat, "I'll let you touch me, lady. But tomorrow morning, when you're all healed, you'll pay for this."

And the answer I got was her loud snores. I rolled my eyes in annoyance and fixed her position, she even hugged me tightly. Another sighed. Di nagtagal, nakatitig na naman ako sa maganda nitong mukha.

"Who are you really? Why are you making me so worried sick? Damn! And you even expect her to answer, Jarred? Pathetic asshole! *sigh* Sleep tight, my princess." at wala sa sariling hinalikan ko ang noo nito.

"Jarred?!! Amber?!!"

"Damn it, Xander! Fuck off, it's too early!" I hissed, still eyes closed. Pero agad akong napadilat nung maalala ang lahat, and just what I expected, she's still hugging me and for pete's sake, I am hugging her back?!

"Papa, what is 'damn it' and 'fuck off'?"

And I found myself staring with someone I don't know. Her innocent green round eyes were staring at me. She was about four years old, she has this curly hair na nakapigtail,  she has this little angelic face na meron ang babaeng natutulog pa'rin at nakayakap sa'kin.

She got my eye color and my curly dark brown hair, other than that, she looked exactly like this brat.

"Papa? Are you still there?" tanong nito na kumukurap-kurap.

I stared at her with disbelief, habang sya ay tumayo at sumayaw sa harapan ko. She's so happy that I couldn't stop myself to smile. Tsk! She's wearing a cute little dress na kulay yellow na may mga bulaklak pa.

"Jarred?!! Teka! Doon!"

"Jarred... Amber... Hello? Somebody here?"

And I heard footsteps, yung maliit na bata ay mabilis na nagtatakbo at nagtago sa likuran ko. That's when Courtney and Antoinette showed up together with other witches.

"Thanks goodness, dito lang pala kayo." sabi nung babae na masungit.

Tinitigan ko lang sila na halata ang pagtataka, I didn't speak, I don't want to talk to someone I don't know. Tss!

"Anong nangyari kay Amber?" Courtney asked, I raised my left eyebrow and she pouted her lips, "Sungit mo pa'rin, Mr. Igneel. Dalhin muna na'tin syang bayan para makapagpahinga." she suggested but when she was about to help me, natigil sya at napatitig sa'kin. No, not to me, kundi sa batang nasa likuran ko.
