I love and hate my job at the same time. More so the latter because most days I want to stab my self in the eye with how much desk work I'm doing. You'd think I was a secretary with the type of shit they have me doing.
Walking into my job today seemed like any other day. I walked straight to my desk with my coffee in hand but stopped and looked around because it seemed like majority of my co-workers weren't even at their desk.
I put my coffee and my bag down as I start to settle my self. One of only co-workers I'm close to, Ruby, came to my desk in a fluster and grabbed my arm.
"Nadia you have to freaking come and see this!" She said as she continued to drag me along.
Ruby was from Texas and had been working at ESPN now for three years. I met her on my first day as she was the one showing me the ropes. Our personalities just click off the bat.
"Slow down Ruby, it's too early for this" I say whining
"Oh you're gonna thank me later"
We come to a stop at a desk that was heavily crowded with co-workers gawking at the computer screen. As I walk closer to the computer screen to take a look, I'm shook to the core.
My mouth hung wide open "mmhm your very welcome" Ruby said smugly whilst standing next to me.
