One Month Later
I just finished having my lunch break with Laurel and we were now both heading back arms locked together. Ruby hasn't been joining us for lunch lately, which was odd at first but we didn't mind. I found myself actually getting closer to Laurel then I ever was with Ruby.
I was currently sobering up from laughing at something she told me. "You know you still need to plan that sleepover?" I reminded as I finally sat down at my desk
"Oh my, I completely forgot" she chuckled out "you wanna do that tonight since we are off tomorrow?" she asked unsure
"Yeah sounds good. I'll go ask Ruby" I said standing up
"I don't know about that" she said nervously "I don't think she likes me all that much"
"What are you talking about?" I said laughing lightly "what gave you that impression?" Ruby was a really nice person, couldn't see her hating anyone.
"I just get this vibe from her, but maybe it's just in my head" she said nodded "yeah you can invite her, I'll text you my address"
"Ok cool" I responded. This would be my first actual sleepover and not gonna lie, I was a bit excited.
Laurel gave me one last smile before walking back to her desk.
I grabbed my phone out of my bag to quickly check it. At lunch I heard it ping, but I was too engrossed in conversation to answer it.
Hunter and I's relationship was going good so far. The time away from each other this past month was a little tough though. He had two back to back away games— this one being his second. He tried to FaceTime or text when he could and the effort was always appreciated.
I quickly typed back a response, my phone pinging again twice. Another thing I liked about Hunter, he texted back fast— or he always tried to.
