Practice was going extremely well today. It seemed like the whole team was in sync. I was excited for the next game being that I got to play with my family watching.
I knew I couldn't play long minutes in the game with playoffs coming around the corner—but I was still hyped.
"Luke how's the new born?" I asked catching up to him as we walked off the practice field together.
"Oh man she's amazing. She's got my eyes too" Luke said happily. Luke's wife finally gave birth about a week ago to a daughter named Luca Rose —it was his first time becoming a dad.
"I'm happy for you Luke" I said patting his back.
"Thanks man, appreciate it" he said with a small smile
We finally enter the building heading straight to the locker rooms. Where I saw Chris and Tevin talking.
"Yo Hunter" Tevin called out, waving me over
Walking over I finally stood in front of them, "what's up?" I questioned
"Chris saw Nadia yesterday" Tevin explained with a smile on his face
"Oh really?" I questioned with scrunched up brows
"She was out eating with her sister, who rejected the fuck outta him" Tevin said busting out laughing
"See this is why I don't tell you shit" Chris said unamused
"Yeah, Nadia's sister don't look like she play. I'm not surprised" I did laughing lightly
"She had a whole ass attitude with me. That just made me more attracted to her, you know I like a challenge" Chris said smirk on his face as he rubbed his hands together
"Aye chill. That's my girl's sister your talking about. If you're not ready to give up that single life style, then don't even try it with her" I said seriously
"Oh come on. I can't have a little fun"
"Chris get outta here with that." Tevin added in
"Don't get fucked up Anthony. If you serious about this then I'll support you, but your intentions gotta be pure" I said pointing my finger at him
"Aight" he nodded
"Okay cool" I said patting his shoulder
"Aye you tryna hang today?" Tevin asked
"Uhm I heard the word 'hang' and I'm in" Luke said seemingly coming out of no where with a grin on his face
"Don't you got a new born or something?" Chris said trying to hold his laugh
"You right" Luke said backing up slowly back to his locker "carry on"
