his palms were sweaty. he stayed seated in his car looking to her house then back ahead of him. he has performed in front of millions of people but knocking on her door was more frightening.

"come on Luke you can do this." he muttered to himself as he rubbed his hands against his black skinny jeans one last time.

finally composing himself he opened his door and exited the car. he kept repeating motivational words as he closed the car door and headed towards her house.

entering the arena she expected to hear something but it was dead silence. there was no sounds at all. going through another door she saw the stage where a single spot like was shown. it brightened up an area where a blanket was placed on the stage.

getting closer she noticed plates of her favorite snacks were on the blanket. she couldn't help but smile as everything was set up so beautifully. flowers petals around the blanket as they walked up on the stage.

he sat beside her as he waited for her to say something. he wanted her to say anything really but nothing was coming from her lips. silence was killing him. so he decided to finally say something.

"Luke it's so amazing. very beautiful." she muttered looking to him with a bright smile.

relief rushed through him as he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. he soon gestured her to eat something as she took his offer. she hummed at the taste of the food Luke was so happy she was happy with everything.

finally speaking to him she felt relaxed. she couldn't stop the words that were leaving her mouth as she conversed with him. he seemed to relax after awhile which led her to smile.

he muttered that he would be back as he got up and left her to be. she couldn't help but pounder what he was doing. the idea of him ditching her seeped into her mind as she began to worry but as she heard footsteps coming her way she soon relaxed.

Luke returned with his guitar in his hand. his nerves had sky rocketed as he was going to sing the one song that he had always dedicated to for her many years ago. the one song that had all his affection to her lace in the words, Heartbreak Girl.

as his fingers started to strum the cords her attention was focused on him. she was amazed as his voice hit the notes in the song as his fingers continued to play. all the memories of their friendship was placed into that song.

she didn't know the hurt she placed him through but she knew now she wouldn't do it. standing up from her sitting position she started to walk towards him as he slowly stopped playing.
