"it's really coming down out there." you heard your boyfriend say as he kept looking out the window of your apartment.

"I guess a picnic in the park is out of the question." Calum laughed while nodding.

you had planned everything out for a romantic picnic in the park and here it is raining. you remind yourself never to plan anything out again. sighing quite loudly you lay on the couch looking up at the ceiling. you swore this day was going to get worse and worse.

"let's go play in the rain."

"what no! we will get sick. and you are a complete diva Hood when you're sick." he pouted at yours words.

"you are no fun." he payed in the floor beside the couch starring off as you continue to do.

minutes pass as you both say nothing. rain ruins everything and you surely hated it as this point. the apartment was boring as hell and you knew within any moment Calum would start to play FIFA, meaning you lost him.

as of you were calling it you hear the tv turn on and his game system start up. you were going to be completely invisible to him for the rest of the day. you just knew something else was going to happen to make everything worse.

if on que a roaring sound of thunder sounded and the lights went out. "fuck" Calum cursed. you smiled to yourself knowing he now felt the same way you did. you heard him groan as his controller hit the floor. the room was pitch black and you knew that it couldn't stay this way.

"cal?"

"yeah?"

"help me find some candles."

"okay"

with his words you grabbed your phone turning on your flashlight, thank god for iPhones. you shined it around the room in search for your boyfriend.

"god are you trying to blind me." you couldn't help but laugh as the light shown on him. his hand covered his eyes.

you quickly moved it away before walking to him. he began to curse under his breath causing you to laugh. you searched around the whole house grabbing all the candles you could find. placing them randomly in the living room you headed to get the lighter.

soon the room was illuminated with the lights shining from the candles. "so I found this." he held up the basket that was filled with many of his favorite foods.

"it was for the picnic I had planned, then the damn rain came and ruined everything." you muttered as you were getting more and more upset.

"it's not ruined we can still have a picnic."

"Calum is raining outside. are you insane."

"who said anything about going outside." you watched curiously as he moved the coffee table out of the way and placed the blanket from the back of the sofa onto the floor.

he gestured you to sit, sitting on the floor as he joined you. you couldn't help but smile. this was perfect. beyond perfect actually. he started to open the basket as he placed the things out. his smile was big as he noticed all his favorite things.

minutes past and half of everything was gone. you know say facing him as you were curious if he was bluffing or not. he was taking his good time to answer
to back and you knew that his answer was dependent on what was going to happen next. finally his eyes looked to you as he smiled.

"go fish."

"dammit cal." you spoke in annoyance as you grabbed a card from the deck.

you knew he had a three. but he wasn't going to give it up. he was cheating and you knew it. it was his turn as he looked back to his cards then to you.

"got any fours?"

"nope" you spoke popping the p.

"liar." his voice was quiet.

"are you accusing me of cheating.?"

"if the shoe fits." his smirk was obvious as he looked back at his cards.
