Chapter Fourteen

-Joaquin-

I checked my watch and drove my way to our secret place. I had yaya set up the place complete with a candelit dinner. I felt like a teenager again and napailing na lang ako. Nakarating ako sa gazeebo ng 30 minutes advance.

I held the paperbag in my hand. I bought her a phone and I hope she likes it. It's a Nokia 8890 which is the same as mine. Small but compact and the latest model this year of 2000.

I heard the mini door opened and what I saw took my breath away. She smiled shyly walking towards me

"Hi." She said and it broke my trance. Just like that she turned into a woman right before my eyes. Pia really outdid herself.

"Hi yourself beautiful." I can't let her know how she affects me. Hindi ko makuhang alisin ang imahe na waiting for her to grow up will be worth it.

I held her hand and offered her a seat.

"Wow. Candlelight dinner inside a gazeebo!"

"I'm glad you liked it." Napangiti ako kasi parang bata pa rin siya kumilos despite her look today.

"Let's eat? I'm famished." Pinaupo ko siya at nagserve ng dinner.

"Want some champagne?"

"Hindi ba ako malalasing niyan?"

"No. I won't ruin this night by making you drunk right?" Umiling siya at ngumiti bilang tugon.

We finished dinner and talked about random stuff.

Ang sakit na ang paa ko dahil sa heels na ito. Mabuti na lang mahaba legs ko at medyo hindi malayo ang nilakad ko.

Binuksan ko ang mini door ng secret gazeebo at napamangha sa set up. Candlelight dinner! Bongga naman ang preparation! Kinilig naman ako!

Nang lumingon si Joaquin at nabigla sa itsura ko. His expression was priceless. Hindi ako nagpahalata na he took my breath away too. He was sinfully gorgeous in his tux!

"Hi." I said and smiled.

"Hi yourself beautiful." He replied in his oh sexy voice.

We ate and drank while talking about anything. Napakatalino niya at talking for him with hours won't be a waste of time. He took my hand and we walked outside papunta sa bridge.

"The stars look lovely as you." He wisphered and nagka-goosebumps ako sa sobrang kilig.

"Look! May falling star, lets make a wish!" Tapos I closed my eyes and made a wish.

I heard him chuckled at tiningnan ko siya ng masakit.

"Anong nakakatawa huh? Bakit hindi ka nagwish? Sabay tapik ko sa kanya.

"Nothing. There's nothing I wish more. I have it already." He looked into my eyes.

Lub dub lub dub lub dub

"What did you wish for?" He asked curiously.

"Secret!" At nagbelat ako.

Tumawa ulit siya. Nakita ko na 9Pm na pla.

"We better go, Joaquin."

"Oh! I forgot that Cinderella has a curfew. Let me get your things. Wait for me here." Umalis na siya at tumungo sa gazeebo.

Tumingala ako sa langit ulit. It has been a romantic evening.

"I wished for you, Joaquin."
