Chapter Thirty Nine

-JC-

"I'll let you go for now but once he hurt and left you, I will be the one to take his place." I whispered and she smiled weakly.

"Sa dinami dami ng kanta mo, ayan pa. Corny mo!" Tapos pinisil ko ang ilong niya.

"At least it made you smile. I know I can't take the hurt away pero I will always be here for you." She said and hugged me.

"I'm sorry too. I just wanted to forget you but it hurts more not being with you. I'm sorry my princess." I kissed her hair.

"You can let go of my girlfriend now."

Narining namin ni Cess at andoon pala si Joaquin.

"Joaquin, don't start..." Cess pleaded.

"I just missed my bestfriend." I held Cess tighter.

"Bestfriend? I am glad you're over her." Hinila niya si Cess.

"Oh I am not over her yet but I will be here waiting." I sneered.

"Guys please..." Cess hissed.

"Truce. But if you hurt her, I will not think twice of breaking every bone in your body." Nakita ko si Cess na nakatingin ng masakit sa akin. I held out my hand.

"Truce then but I'd rather break your bones than break her heart." Inabot din ni Joaquin ang kamay niya.

"Ewan ko sa inyo! Baka kayo ang bugbugin ko eh." Ang cute ni Cess kapag naiinis.

"Ayan oh! Welcome back pre!" Narinig namin boses ni Leo.

"Aiyeeee! Everybody happy na!" Sigaw naman ni Sam.

"Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!" Sabat naman ni Nick.

"Since I've been an ass to all of you. The pizza is on me." I said.

"Tara na nagutom ako sa teleserye na napanood ko." Sabi ni Nick at binatukan ni Sam.

Natawa na lang ako but I'm glad that my princess and I are okay now. It still hurts but I guess it's better this way. I'd rather see her smile.

-Cess-

Pumunta kami sa Pizza Hut and natutuwa ako kasi we are so happy together.

"Guys, we have an announcement." Sabi ni Leo at hinawakan ang kamay ni Sam.

"Kami na pala ni Sam."

"Wow bes I am so happy for the both you! Nanliligaw ka pla Leo?" Biro ko sa kanila.

"Oo naman Cess hindi nga lang mapapantayan yung mga the moves ng mga suitors mo." Sagot naman ni Leo.

"Congrats guys! So kami na lang ni JC?" Biro naman ni Nick.

"Sabi ko na nga ba na bakla ka Nick eh."

"May hidden desire ka pala sa akin pre. Kagandang lalaki ko naman." Natatawang sagot ni JC.

"Eww kayo ha! Nawawalan akong ng gana." Sabi naman ni Sam at tila nasusuka kunyari.

"So I guess to calls for a celebration then? Want to go to the beach for the weekend?" Biglang invite ni Joaquin.

"Sige2x! Tutal sembreak naman! Bes we need to buy new swimsuits." Ani ni Sam na halatang excited.

"Hindi pwede daring ha?" Saway naman ni Leo.

"Thanks. That was nice of you." I whispered to Joaquin.

"I just want you to enjoy your sembreak before I become busy again."

"Busy? Hindi pa tapos ang merging ninyo ng mga Montemayor?"

"Nope it's not done yet. Our company is on the brink of bankruptcy and my father thinks that the Montemayors can help us when in fact he had found an enemy and not a comrade." He said seriously.

"How can you be sure?" Tanong ko kasi na-curious ako bigla.

"I have a friend who is investigating this. I don't trust them."

"I don't trust Selena too." He laughed.

"You don't have anything to worry about her. She is nothing like you babe." He kissed my hand and I smiled.

I trust him but parang iba ang kutob ko.

Sembreak in a resort in Subic Bay.

"Wow ang ganda ng dagat!" Tila batang tumakbo sa dalampasigan si Sam. Nakita ko hinabol siya ni Leo at nakakatuwa silang tingnan.

Sila Joaquin at Cess naman ay nakaupo sa mga lounge chair at kumukuha ng pictures.

Nagpagtanto ko na lang na maglibot sa resort. May nakita akong bar malapit sa pool nila. Umorder ako ng isang ice cold beer kasi bored ako. Si Nick mamaya pa darating dahil na-late ng gising.

"Isn't too early to drink?" Isang magandang babae ang umupo sa tabi ko.

"It's just an ice cold beer to cool down the heat." I said and checked her out. She had long brownish curly hair, she was sun kissed, tall and sexy.

"Yes it's pretty hot. I'll have a virgin Pina Colada please." Sagot niya sabay tawag sa bartender.

"Put it on my tab." Sabi ko naman.

"So why are you here? I mean really,I saw you looking at a girl who was taking photos with her man."

"Mending my broken heart I guess." Then she snorted. It was kinda cute.

"Sabi ko nga ba eh!" Her tagalog has an accent and makes her cute all the more.

"So tell me about you as you obviously know my story."

"I'm going to mend your broken heart. The name's Priscilla." With that she took her drink and left.
