After our dinner, I held her hand and we walked out to the bridge near the garden.
I looked up and saw the stars and I wisphered, "The stars look lovely as you."
"Look! May falling star, lets make a wish!" She closed her eyes which is so adorable that napatawa ako. Nang binuksan niya ang mata, tinitigan niya ako ng masakit.
"Anong nakakatawa huh? Bakit hindi ka nagwish? She said and hit me.
"Nothing. There's nothing I wish more. I have it already." I looked into her eyes.
"What did you wish for?" I asked.
"Secret!" She then stuck her tongue out and it made me laugh.
"We better go, Joaquin." I heard her say and I checked my watch.
"Oh! I forgot that Cinderella has a curfew. Let me get your things. Wait for me here." I went to get her bag and my gift.
Pagbalik ko she's still looking up in the sky. If it's possible, I can just look at her for hours. Napansin niya yata nakatitig lang ako sa kanya.
"Andyan ka na pla. Hindi mo man lang sinabi."
"How can I when I like looking at you while you gaze at the stars?"
"I was just hoping for another falling star." She replied.
"I guess stars are not the only one that's going to fall tonight." She blushed at the statement.
"Come. I have something to give you. I shall not take the word no and refusal is an insult." I said seriously.
Inabot ko sa kanya ang paper bag at dahan dahan niyang binuksan.
She gasped and took out the box.
"Joaquin, I know it's rude to refuse pero ang mahal nito. I can't accept it." Binalik niya sa bag at isinauli sa akin.
"How can I call you then if you won't accept it?"
"Nag iipon na ako para dyan eh." She argued.
"Save your money for school and other things you need. Accept my advance birthday gift."
"Paano mo nalaman yung birthday ko?" Nagpout siya at kinuha ang paperbag.
"I have my resources but please don't refuse it."
"Okay pero nahihiya pa din ako.
Hindi ko matutumbasan ito."
"You don't have to. You spending your time with me is priceless. Let me take you home."
I held her hand while we walked to my car. I opened the passenger seat for her and went to the driver's seat. I started the car but it won't. Tiningnan ko ang gas at empty na pla siya.
"May spare gas ka ba?" Tanong sa akin ni Cess.
"I'll go check." Binuksan ko ang trunk at walang spare gas.
"Dammit!" Napamura ako. Everything was perfect and this happened.
"You can call your house at magpahatid. Pero I really have to go. Maglalakad lang ako." She offered and covered her arms. The night is cold so I took off my jacket and placed it on her shoulders.
"I won't allow you to walk alone, Cess. Let's just leave it here. I'll walk you home."
Habang naglalakad kami biglang natapilok si Cess sa sobrang taas ng heels niya.
"Cess, are you alright?" I checked her ankle and good thing it was not swelling pero nasira ang heel ng shoe niya.
"I'm okay pero masakit ng konti. Sayang yung shoes." Napakagat- labi siya. Damn those kissable lips.
I knelt and took her took over my shoulders so I can carry her piggyback style.
"Oh no Joaquin, nakakahiya naman ito. Ibaba mo ako."
"No worries. You don't weigh much."

Anong kamalasan na nasira ang sapatos ko! So clumsy pero kahit nahihiya feel na feel ko ito! Parang sa telenobela lang na kinakarga ka ng gwapong lalaki. He smells so good too!
"Alam mo ba, ito ang first date ko." Sabi ko sa kanya.
"I'm honored to be your first date. Did I exceed your expectations?" He inquired.
"Yes you did. Bakit ka pla english ng english?" Bigla kong natanong. Kasi naman from the beginning ng kwento na ito puro sagot niya sa akin ay english. Buti na lang at hindi pa ako nagka-hemorrhage.
Tumawa siya ng malakas tila parang joke ang tanong ko. Malay ko di ba?
"I was born in LA. I grew up there and moved here after my mother died. Pabalik-balik ako sa US." He said na may hint ng enlish accent pa din ang tagalog.
"Ang cute mo magtagalog!" Natatawang sabi ko.
"That's why I avoiding it. If you laugh one more time, I'll let you fall." Inakma niya akong ihuhulog tapos napakapit ako sa kanya ng mahigpit.
"Ano ka ba! Muntik na ako mahulog." Sabay tapik ko sa yummy biceps niya.
"Don't worry I won't let you fall without me there to catch you."
Hindi ko alam if I will take his words literally. Eh unti unting nahuhulog na ako?
Nakarating na kami sa tapat ng bahay ko at ibinaba niya ako.
"Thanks for tonight. I enjoyed and I really appreciate your gift." Isinoli ko sa kanya ang jacket niya.
"You're most welcome and I had enjoyed it as well. Can I borrow your phone?"
Binuksan ko ang box at inabot sa kanya ang phone.
"I'm going to save my number. Your number is saved already on my phonebook." Inabot niya ulit sa akin ang phone.
"Goodnight. I have to go now." He said and kissed my cheek.
"Bye! Goodnight at ingat ka." Sabi ko sabay kaway habang naglalakad siya papalayo.
Papasok ako ng bahay nang biglang tumunog ang cellphone ko. Ringtone niya ay It Might be You. Napangiti ako at sinagot.
"Dream of me as I'll dream of you. Goodnight." Bago pa ako nakasagot ay binaba na niya ang phone.
