Silence rang harshly throughout the area as the woman dazedly touched her burning cheek - too stunned to speak.
Workers along with the female employees stared stupidly wide-eyed at Mimi's violent actions. Never had anyone in Glory Trade, been violent or hit a fellow employee. Surely, being merely the first, the negative consequences wouldn't be too great.
"You..." The woman slowly snapped herself out of her daze. "You slapped me!"
"Hai, what about it?" Mimi merely said, gently shaking her hand from the stinging sensation on her sensitive fingers.
"You slapped me!" The woman shrieked one more.
"I was merely accepting my direct payment," Mimi stared at her fingers unfazed by the chaotic situation.
The woman's baffled expression once more flushed a deep shade of violent red, her breaths became ragged and unsteady. Her previous slick chestnut hair was now disheveled making her look hysterical.
However, a wicked smile gradually spread on her rosy lips as she regarded Mimi's violent actions.
She hit her! An employee of Glory Trade Corporation!
There was definitely no possible way they would willingly allow her to stay after her actions. Tobias would surely blacklist her after this incident!
"You do realize I can sue you for assault!" The woman said scornfully.
Suddenly, the foul air instantly surrounding the area turned frosty as Mimi paused her actions, her cold gaze slowly shifting to look the woman in the eye.
"You want to sue me?" Mimi asked dully.
Thinking that Mimi was suddenly fearful of her words, the woman regained her arrogant confidence and smirked up at Mimi.
"That's right, you merely think I'd let you get away with slapping me! Allow me to tell you, Tobias definitely won't..." Before the woman could complete her words another harsh slap was met with her face.
"Still spouting such foolish nonsense are we?" Mimi coldly gazed at the woman with a faint smile.
"Y-You--!" The woman held her stinging cheek with raging eyes.
"I tried being nice, but it seems to me being kind only ends with getting burned," Mimi said icily staring down at her clothes. "Guess that provides me no choice but to be ruthless."
The woman shivered under Mimi's burning gaze as she looked down at her. Picking up her now damaged phone Mimi twirls it in her rosy hand before looking back at the woman.
"Do you know what was on this phone?" Mimi asked in a gentle tone.
With furrowed brows, the woman stares at the phone in Mimi's hand with evident confusion. When she spilled the coffee on Mimi, not merely had it soaked her clothes and skin, but as well as her phone - breaking it in the process.
Merely observing how the woman wasn't responding, Mimi's serene smile spread even further, however, a touch of mischievousness could be instantly detected.
"On this phone were the sensitive documents to the companies most recent projects. They contained each and every file from the recent month including the Honoshino project details." Mimi explained, making sure to never break eye contact for every word she spoke slowly.
As Mimi gently explained the phone contents, the woman's complexion leisurely began paling towards every cruel word, until she no longer contained a trace of color in her face.
Everyone in the company was aware of the Honoshino project. It was precisely a local project they invested millions into that would soon lead to billions once it was positively confirmed.
