Chaper 5

I walked over to Tenn and AJ. AJ was playing with a yellow car toy, and Tenn was playing with a police man toy.

"Hey AJ and Tenn." I smiled.

"Clem!" AJ said as he hugged me tightly.

"Thank you for watching AJ for me. I really appreciate it." I said as I looked to Tenn.

"It's ok," Tenn smiled. "Can I look after AJ more?" He said.

"Sure," I said. "But not all the time, I'm a bit protective." I added.

"That's ok," Tenn smiled. "I'm going to go on lookout now." He said.

"Ok. Thanks again." I said as I waved him goodbye.

I finally had the chance to tell AJ that the group is going to be moving away. He's not gonna take it to well. I went into me and AJ's room and AJ followed me. I sat down on my bed and AJ sat down next to me.

"I need to tell you something. There is good and bad news." I said strictly.

AJ's smile turned upside down instantly.

"Tell me the good news first." He demanded.

"Ok," I said nervously. "Well... me and Louis are dating. We are a couple." I smiled.

"What? Really?!" AJ screamed. "I'm so happy!" He said as he bounced up and down on my bed. "I have a question." He added.

"Yes..." I said nervously.

"Why were you making weird noises last night?" AJ questioned. "Tenn said that I am too young to understand." He added.

I could feel my face turning a bright red colour. What do you say when a 6 year old asks you that question? Well, I guess I'm fucked. "Tenn is right, you are too young to understand." I said anxiously.

"But I want to know!" AJ stropped.

"Ok calm down," I shouted. "I-I was having another bad dream..." i said.

"Oh." He said. "Was it about what happened at the Ranch again?" He asked.

"Yeah," i said. "What happened there was horrible." I added.

"I know." AJ nodded.

"What's the bad news?" AJ asked.

"You definitely won't like this goofball, but we have to move away from the school." I said sadly.

"No! Why? This is our home now." AJ started crying.

"It wasn't my decision and Louis didn't want this to happen either. But, if we don't move then we will get raided again and we will have no food left." I said. 

"True, but I like it here." AJ cried.

"Me too. But we will find a safer place, I promise." I said.

I hugged AJ tightly and he cried into my shoulder.

"When I we moving?" He asked as he wiped the tears from his eyes.

"Soon. I don't know for sure yet." I said.

There was a knock on the door. "Come in." I shouted.

Assim entered. "We are all having a group discussion about leaving. Meet everyone outside." He said.

"Ok." I said. "AJ you should stay here." I said kindly.

"Sure, ok." He said sadly.

I walked outside and sat down next to Louis. He smiled at me.

"I know I said that I don't want to move, but I think we should. I can't risk loosing anymore people." Louis said trying to hold back his tears. "I feel stupid for thinking about myself before you guys." He added.

"It's ok. When I told AJ about the moving plan, he didn't take it too well either." I said.

"Well that's kids for you." Ruby said in an annoyed tone.

"Yup." I said in agreement.

"So when should we leave?" Assim asked.

"Tomorrow." Violet said. "Everyone needs to pack EVERYTHING tonight.

Everyone nodded and walked to their rooms. I figured that I should tell AJ that we are moving tomorrow so I walked to my room and sat down next to AJ.

"We are moving tomorrow. Pack your things tonight." I asked.

"Fine." AJ stropped.
