"Get up..."

I rolled over a little and pulled the blankets closer to be.

"Get up..." I heard again.

I opened my eyes a little and turned towards Marcus.

He was sitting up in the bed looking at me.

"What time is it??" I asked.

"4:36" he said.

"Why are you waking me up this early??" I asked.

"I'm testing a theory.." he said.

He slid down next to me and turned me away from him.

"When you were pregnant with montae... around this time you'd wake up... wet as hell... ready for some dick... & Minute Maid" he said as he slid his hand between my legs.

"Marcus.... wait..." I said and I tried to sit up.

"Annnnddddd here comes the throw up...." he said.

By the time he said that I was up going for the bathroom.

I could hear him laughing.

"What's that?? 3 now? 😂😂😂" he said as he came to the bathroom door.

I stood up and flushed the toilet.

"Fuck you😒"

"You can if you want to🤷🏾‍♂️"

It got quiet as I stood in front of the sink and began to brush my teeth

Marcus came and sat on the bathroom counter.

"Tayy..." he said.

"Hmm??" I said as I spit out toothpaste and rinsed my mouth.

"You know I love you right??"

I looked at his face and could see the sincerity.

"I mean... you've done questionable things to make me think that you don't..... but we always came back to each other... no matter what the situation was... so I know you do" I said as I looked at him.

He looked down into his lap at his hands.

"I'm sorry.... I've probably said it already... but I'm really sorry baby" he said as he looked up at me.

I looked at him and began to worry a little... Why is he apologizing again?? Has he done something? Is he mindset changing??

My mind began to run...

If he's fucked up again I couldn't stay... no matter how much I'd want to.

We've been through so much shit.

Fool me once... shame on you... fool me twice shame on me... fool me three times... then I deserve to be fooled. And I refuse to be anyone's fool again.

"Tayy..." I heard Marcus say as he snapped his fingers in my face.

"Huh" I said as I looked at his face.

"You ok?? You just zoned out..." he asked.

"Yea... yea.. I'm good" I said.

"You want some juice?" He asked as he hopped down and kissed my forehead.

"Please" I said as I walked into the bedroom and hopped in the bed as we walked out towards the stairs.

I got comfortable and immediately began to doze off into my sleep.
