I left the pavilion with a very broken heart. Got home, crying my soul out. And called my dad just to know that he's in the hospital. Great, right? I almost had an attack when dad mentioned that he was in the hospital. Akala ko kung ano ng nangyari sakanya! I could die if that happens.

Not now. Not ever.

I rushed to the said hospital, only to find out that dad was alright. With mom beside him. They told me everything and I can't stop my tears from falling after I heard that he thought about ending his life for the unbearable pain he felt. He nearly end his life! And call me mean and evil but I'm really thanking Tito Taehyung for doing that courageous act. If it ain't for him, I would have totally lost myself.

"Is she going to be alright?" I asked, worried, the moment dad stepped out mom's ward. Saglit akong bumaling sakanya at nakita itong mahimbing na natutulog sa hospital bed.

She collapsed after hearing tito Taehyung's condition. Hindi niya nakayanan. She hardly couldn't breath from crying! Same with tita Jhoanna who's lying on the other bed. They both fainted. Mas nauna nga lang si mommy.

"She will be. The doctor says that she fainted because of tiredness and stress. Pahinga lang daw ang kailangan. Lots of it." Dad sighed.

Napabuntong hininga naman ako at sinapo ang noo. Nang tuluyan ng umalis ang nurse na nagaasikaso kay mommy, ay agad kaming lumapit rito. Her eyes were swollen from all the tears she've cried. Kitang kita rin ang pangngitim ng kanyang mga mata tanda ng stress at pagod. Dad's were too. Thinking about it, dad doesn't had a good night sleep for the past nights.

"Dad, you should rest." I suggested when I noticed that he keeps on yawning. He looked at me then smiled. Namumungay na ang mga mata nito na parang any minute ay babagsak na.

"No, baby. Babantayan ko ang mommy mo."

"Ako na muna ang magbabantay sakanya. There's a vacant bed over there, you can use it for the mean time." I look at the other bed in the room we're at, then looked back at him. "I know you're sleepy, dad."

"But how about yo---"

"I'm fine. I can handle myself. Now, sleep." I cut him off. He heave out a sigh before he nodded and without a word, did what I said.

Sinundan ko lang siya ng tingin hanggang sa mahiga siya sa nasabing higaan. Mabuti na lang at may readyng kumot at unan ang kada higaan ng hospital na 'to. Pagkatapos magtalukbong, ay agad siyang pumikit and the next thing I know, he was snoring loud.

Mapait akong napangiti at napabuntong hininga. I look at mom who's still peacefully sleeping on her bed, before I look at the next bed where tita Jhoanna and Sakura is. Semi-private ang kinuhang room ni daddy dahil ito na lang ang available as of now. Puno raw kasi yung mga private kaya wala ring choice. Dito dinala si mommy at tita when they both fainted after the bad news. Tita was devastated. Same with Sakura who can't stop herself from crying untill she fell asleep herself.

Kaya ngayon, magkatabi silang natutulog sa kama.

Muli akong napabuntong hininga bago naupo sa monoblock na nasa gilid ng kama ni mommy. Since secluded ang kwarto, walang ibang maririnig kundi ang tunog ng AC. I look at nothing as I play with mom's hand. I'm sleepy, yes. But my mind is in haze. This was a very long day. Too long that I think fate has been exaggerated for way too much. Pero okay na rin siguro 'to, para isang bagsakan lang.

Yung sakit.

I came back from my reverie when I heard a phone ringing. I blink twice before I realize that it was my phone. I hurriedly took it out from my bag and looked at the caller ID. My forehead crease when I saw Jacen's name. My jaw clench.
