Somehow, I had managed to get to the site quickly, I said the password to a lady on a clothing store and she took me down to a nearly empty room. In the elevator, I was handed a circular white plate with the number 7. I pinned it to my F/C tank top and soon the doors mechanically opened to show a long room.

There were 6 people there waiting, their eyes scanned me, checking for threats or weaknesses to exploit. I walked slowly into a corner next to the door so I could see the young Zoldyck enter. As he wasn't neither an old man nor a brunet.

So much time passed, I nearly thought Killua wouldn't show up on the now full room, some fat short man called Tonpa tried to poison me knowing I was a newbie. So, these people were already fighting before the exam started... fun... I had my laughs as the Tonpa dude walked away scared as he said, "No, no, not again". All types of people were walking around, some making friends, some looking threatening, some just staring into space, and then there I was staring to the door waiting for a certain white-haired assassin to show up.

I was nearly giving up when the blue-eyed kid walked in, the number 1219 pinned to his baby blue tank top, I kept my eyes on him as he walked around looking for someone. Soon enough he found three similar looking boys, slightly older than him I'd say, they chatted for a while as if they knew each other. Perhaps they were on the last exam? I wonder how much longer would I have to wait till the exam started, never taking my eyes off the white haired boy. Weird that the rest of the siblings were black haired, would be a nice question to ask if I ever got into trouble again with the Zoldycks.

Suddenly, a man wearing some rectangular glasses and a weird large white jacket with some purple details and red pants, burst into the room from a grey door, his hair was greenish, and he wasn't wearing a tag, so I assumed he'd be the examiner. "Thanks for coming everyone, this year 1489 participants have made it this far."

He kept going on how he had to only have 300 participants before the exam started in 2 hours and that to pass this stage one had to knock out 5 people, take their badges and go see him on the other side of the door. Seemed simple enough. The door closed and hell broke loose, my eyes remained on Killua though, he quickly jumped knocking out people, clearly a transmuter as I saw pieces of lightening here and there as he moved incredibly fast, he knocked more than 5 people out and I soon realised what he was up to.

Well, better to win this too~. I thought as I started slamming people to the ground with a newfound ease, nearly as fast as the young Zoldyck, he clearly hadn't had enough training with his electricity. He'd be good enough soon though, he had potential. I hit people left and right and soon, there was few left to spare between me and Killua, his cold blue eyes landed on me, recognition laced with panic flashing on his face as I knocked the rest of the people out.

"Hello, little Zoldyck~. Now, do not worry I am not here to hurt you-" I was about to keep going but he showed up behind me preparing to fry me with his electric aura. I didn't move, after knocking out half of these people, seven hundred or so, he must've lost a lot of power and it wouldn't do more than tickle me. Feitan sure enjoyed the last year, I grabbed his hand and felt the ticklish power going through me. "Oh! Now that I think about it your father and grandfather use lightening too, fun!" That made him stop struggling, and I carefully let him down.

"I'm not here to harm you, grandpa Zeno thought it'd be nice to hear about how you passed this exam. So here I am, now let me collect some tags and finish this." His clear eyes seemed to doubt me, but he didn't try to attack me as I grabbed the nearby badges out of the bodies on the ground. "So half-half? Or do you feel like racing?" I turned around to see a youthful glimmer in sky blue and a smirk as he started picking up badges as fast as he could. "What a cheater, didn't even count to 3..." I whined, unable to hold my laughter as I ran to pick more and more. By the end I was dragging 6 shirts filled with badges that I had stolen from random participants to the door along with Killua, that had found a net. Who would bring a net to an exam? Weirdos. Then again... Illumi fought with needles, what a psycho.

My S/C hand reached for the doorknob, as I heard his shy high pitched voice, "Are you really my brother's spouse?" I almost rolled on the floor laughing, as I tried to regain some air to explain.

"No, your mom would enjoy that very much but dear Illumi hates me~, now can we finish this? We can chat a bit after. I'm kinda hungry..." I opened the door and the examiner took his cigarette off thick lips and rose, must've hurt to be sitting on some stairs for that long.

"Took you long enough!" He was about to start rambling before his eyes fell on the collection of number tags that me and Killua had gathered. "Where are the rest of the participants? It has been an hour."

"Took a while to collect all the badges." Killua stated with the most innocent voice. Sneaky little kid haha~. "They're all knocked out, asleep, in the room." Hopefully they were all asleep, I may have used my strength too much... "What is the second phase?"

"Is there a second phase?" My eyebrows knit together, this could be a lot of fun, Killua sighed.

"I was here last year, there were many phases." My eyes must have shown my curiosity since he continued, "you're thinking it'd be fun? Illumi took the exam last year so... it wasn't."

"Aw but it would be so fuuuun with Illumi. He's really nice to piss off once you find how to... I bet Hisoka came too. Strong opponents~!" I daydreamed as the pale boy's nose scrunched thinking about it.

The examiner was calling the chairman of the Hunter association and soon enough, he turned around to announce, "Applicant 7, Y/N, and applicant 1219, Killua, congratulations you passed!"

"Well, that was quick... I was hoping it'd be more fun...~" I complained as Killua walked away. "Wait, wait~ tell me about last year. I feel like I got the most boring Hunter exam ever!!!"

Soon we were seating on a coffee's table indulging in the sweetness of a chocolate cake as Killua told me all about the exam and the people he had met his adventure after. "Aw I barely met you in the manor!" He had all the reasons to escape his family, so I just nodded along as he continued about a game called Greed Island.

I felt like I had made a friend and gave him my number in case he ever needed some help. I even complained about having to head back to talk to Zeno before we parted our ways.
