LV. Bad Omens

Deciding I wouldn't be much helpful with the troupe I decided to give my number to them and start searching for Chrollo, that way when they finally convinced the nen exorcist to cooperate they should just call me and we'd plan the meeting somewhere.

The problem on this plan was the fact that I would have to travel alone, and the possibility of being tracked by a certain long-haired Zoldyck was higher, besides he'd know I was looking for Chrollo because Kalluto would inform him, that can only make him more mad than he already is.

Truly a problem, but with my bad luck I'd probably cross paths with him sooner or later so if I had to set things straight with him, might as well do it soon so I don't suffer in fear. I said that to myself but as soon as I left the game, the first thing I did was check all the apartment for any break in hints.

There were none, maybe he was embarrassed! That would be good. I grabbed my phone to call Chrollo, not really expecting him to pick up, yet he did. "Y/N, you really ran away from me."

"I know, felt lonely on your trip? I just came from seeing the troupe members and well they are negotiating with a nen exorcist so I thought I should go ahead and find you. Didn't think it'd be so easy." I hear my surprised high-pitched voice answer back. Guess he was a bit mad, but well nothing compared to Illumi I could bet.

"I was so lonely, you have no idea Y/N. And if you want a harder job, I won't tell you where I am." Lord chocolate, Chrollo was being the annoying friend I knew and missed since all this crazy stuff happened. That made me relax more.

"Just tell me the continent." I heard Chrollo's joyful laugh from the other side of the line.

"You turned out to be a really interesting friend Y/N." I looked outside; it was raining. I should pack a warm change of clothes in a portable bag soon.

"Oh my god, don't ever call me interesting again I swear to my chocolate god..." I was so done hearing that word attached to me.

"I'm sure you'll have a lot to tell me, it has been a long time since we had a calm conversation over some nice f/b." I nodded dumbly before realizing this was a phone call and he couldn't see me.

"Indeed, I have so much to ask you about your life, that plan on the auction was a full magical moment." After a minute of silence, I heard the thief's voice now deeper, almost a whisper on my hear.

"Oh, you enjoyed it? That's... Amazing. Well I'm in the Azian continent, have fun looking for me, Y/N." I trembled with the sudden change but shrugged it off and smiling replied.

"Just you wait until I find your royal ass in record time!" With that said I turned off the phone and started quickly packing all the essentials for the trip. Since I had to cross an ocean and then search one of the biggest continents.

As I was leaving the arena, I saw on the corner of my eye someone with long black hair. My heart started racing, yet when I looked with more attention it was only my brain playing tricks on me. I let my nen roam free to make sure Illumi wasn't around, and I didn't feel his very recognizable aura. With a sigh, filled with relief I walked to the airport.

I arrived in Kakin's port city after a long and uncomfortable trip. My mood was ruined, I picked a small hotel near the port to rest for a while. I didn't know much about the country but they sure were different from what I was used to.

I walked around downtown to look for maps or libraries, the feeling of being watched suddenly hitting me. I kept telling myself I was becoming paranoid, but somehow my gut kept telling me I was in danger. Was it Illumi danger? Or a different kind of danger?

When I left a restaurant after dinner, the night had fallen and the streets were empty, seeming threatening. All my senses were heightened, yet I was unsure if I should keep using Zetsu or use En, extending it all around me to make sure I don't miss anyone approaching me. I decided to go with Zetsu, keeping my cards hidden and rush my steps as all I wanted at that moment was to reach the hotel safe and hopefully all this threatening aura turning out to be pure imagination.

All my hopes were thrown away when I heard a single step behind me and turned to look at a tall blue haired woman, holding a knife, oozing bloodlust. "Heheheh, new flesh in the streets~~" I heard her screech, that was a scary animalistic thin voice huh. There is a first time for everything, I decided to roll out my En, feeling the presence of two other people in hiding and surprising the dangerous looking woman.

"Well, good night to you too kind lady. If you don't mind, I'll get going." She seemed to mind, her eyes widening as she jumped to attack me. I quickly dodged her and the two figures in the shadows tried to get me, thinking I was distracted. When the lady striked again I pulled her knife and stabbed her in the belly, she seemed surprised by my strength. None of the others seemed to know how to use nen, and both seemed frightened to see the lady easily overpowered by my sweet self. So I dropped her knife and decided to do a quick dash for the rooftops, it would be easier to get to the hotel this way.

This all seemed like a bad omen. I couldn't help but think that this was the wrong country to look for Chrollo. Before I walked inside the hotel, I fixed my hair to look more presentable, the receptionist seemed surprised to see me return when I asked for the key to my room. I just wanted to reach my room, I locked the door behind me and turned on the lights to see none other than a long-haired assassin, sitting on the small bed, waiting for me.
