I ended up finishing that one book Kikyo had recommended to me, after agreeing with Illumi that we'd maintain the dislocated parts until the fight and a quick shower to take all the stickiness from inside me. My second of the day.

Somehow this didn't go as expected at all, which was not completely bad. There would be many more fights to come where I would win. I didn't have to win this one, though I did want to show off in front of my future in-laws...

My left arm was numb, and the slightest move felt like knifes puncturing my shoulder. I sighed, as my eyes fell to the watch on the bedside table. It was almost time.

I jumped up, throwing the book to the bed and stretching the best I could without feeling immense pain, Illumi walked into the room nonchalantly. I sighed, thinking about having to live with someone that didn't knock on doors forever.

"Ready to become my husband?" I winked, as a seductive smirk played my lips, he simply stood there his unfeeling mask on unbothered. "I guess your initial disgust at the idea has settled down enough for this to stop being funny, huh?"

"Yes." He stated as he leaned against the doorframe, holding his skinny pale hand out to me. "Shall we?"

"Sure." I took it, having his large eyes widen incredibly fast before returning to normal, he was surprised, as I could almost guess he was planning to point to the hall. I did my best to drag him with me to the hall, a work that didn't go well.

After shaking his hand off mine, he took the lead, walking through the large stone maze that were comprised in the Zoldyck manor. A large metal door slid open for us, and the cold evening air hit my face harshly, there was a semicircle of fresh grass against the building, and the rest was the forest. Mike and another hound were there in the edge of the moon shaped grass, standing guard as between them stood the family. Silva standing proudly, Kikyo with a hand over Milluki's shoulder and the other on Kalluto's shiny hair, Zeno was simply leaning against Mike.

"It's sad that Killua and Alluka aren't here to see this." I whisper, keeping them safe being one of the reasons I was marrying Illumi, to be able to spoil his toxic plans without many repercussions. There were torches lighting up the clearing, giving this whole ceremony a cult scene. Illumi touched my back, not to console me but to straighten my figure as we turned to face the Zoldycks.

When Silva spoke, his words weren't diminished by the actual distance and the light breeze, "Here we stand to witness the bond of marriage, for blood to be spilled and mingled. May our new family member rise to prove their worth in battle." I trembled as a cold drop of sweat dripped down my back. He then added, "There is no turning back, this is an unbreakable bond."

I almost felt like replying something along the lines of No shit, Sherlock; but a shiny incredibly bent dagger with a very detailed looking dragon on the handle flew towards us. Illumi grabbed it effortlessly, his eyes leaving his father to meet mine, no emotions seemed to seep out of them. He handed me the dagger, that I took cautiously, it was incredibly cold, so cold it burnt...

I had never done a blood oath before but they seemed to assume I knew what the fuck I was doing so I held a sob as I thought about how to lift my left arm enough to cut my hand... Illumi seemed to have noticed since he grabbed my left hand and had it palm facing the sky, I gasped, and hoped they thought it was because of this sudden hand holding and not the pain that ran through my body. I spun the ridiculously old dagger in my hand to calm myself down and ran the blade on a straight line across my palm, blood sprouted almost immediately, I hadn't put enough pressure for that though. My eyes widened a bit, and I tried to hold back my panic as Illumi proceeded to kneel and lick the blood off my hand, his warm tongue nearly relaxed me as the only familiar thing happening at the moment.

He was up quickly, taking the ritual especially sharp blade and doing the exact same to his left hand, I could see his index and middle finger trembling as his right hand grasped it. I felt myself relax, now knowing they were still dislocated. When the blade left his skin, I kneeled, grabbing his hand and licking the warm metallic blood quickly. There was no way in hell this was hygienic or healthy, but then again, I was being poisoned and had been tortured in this house, what else could I expect?

A quick glance at the Zoldycks had me realizing they were very pleased with the scene. Illumi threw the dagger back to his father and that was one more step concluded. My hand was still bleeding, so was his, more damage done before the fight...

"Now, gather your weapons, and feel free to start the sparring session." I felt Illumi's aura blow up as he gripped some needles with his left hand, not wanting to be left behind I released my own f/c aura and pulled out my only knife out of my pocket, a gift from Feitan.

I gripped it tightly, eyes leaving the smooth black handle to meet Illumi. Who tilted his head, waiting for me to strike first?

"Such a gentleman." I spit, as I thought about my options.
