Walking jungle hippos are surprisingly one of the safer creatures Basilia's wildness has to offer, they are known to be rather peaceful and mild mannered. The coconuts that grown off the necks of the adult hippopotamuses are nutritious and are used by mothers to feed their calves. Tarcads will also happily harvest these coconuts in small amounts to create drinks (often for special occasions only) while coconut shells are used to make all sorts of things from cups to bowls to plant holders. Like the other walking jungles they can also use photosynthesis to get energy and usually hang around waterfalls where their moss can stay damp and they can stay cool, for they can sun burn easily.
