❝I dream, of the electricity in your skin, playing sparks upon my fingers, lighting my incandescent world, again with life, you sparkle hope in me, all the light you bring, you are my lighting, my crackle in the sky.❞

You swung your legs off one of the many hospital beds inhabited Léry's. You had been through millions of trials and finally had a break. Naturally, spending time with Herman was the first thing that came to your mind when you were out of the blood-filled horrors. But, unfortunately, Herman wasn't in Léry's. He hadn't been for a long time, and you knew why he wasn't, but that didn't mean you weren't disappointed.

Pinpricks of electricity traced your bones and filled your nerves. You grew excited at the familiar feeling. Finally, finally, your wish has been granted. Herman was here. You didn't know where. Luckily for you, your wonders were for long because his hands traced your waist before pulling you up and enveloping you into a hug. Your arms draped over his shoulders as he squeezed, squeezed, and squeezed, and it was starting to get hard to pull air into your lungs. You tapped Herman's back repeatedly, getting more aggressive as time went on. When he finally let go, you drew in long-drawn breaths that tried to replace the previous lack of oxygen.

"I'm so sorry, pumpkin... I didn't mean to hurt you! Will you please forgive me?" Herman grabbed your hand and pressed his nose into the ridges of your skin. You smiled against the touch before sitting back down on the bed. Herman joined you. Before he lay down, he pulled you by your waist, causing you to fall next to him. You shook your head at his actions, but you wouldn't change what happened because you enjoyed the intimacy.

And at some point, you must've fallen asleep in Herman's arms, but when you regained consciousness, Herman was nowhere to be found. It was even more evident that he was gone because the electric pinpricks you were so accustomed to were gone. The missing feeling upset you, for it was a part of you in some weird territorial way. Finally, however, you docked his disappearance to that of the Entity, and the only thing you could do was wait for his return to you.
