[OVERVIEW]

The Moon Landing was a televised event that showed America being the first country to reach the moon, beating out their biggest rival Russia. But was it real?

Many ask why would they fake the moon landing? In 1969, the year this happened, nearly every major country wanted to beat each other to the moon, to get bragging rights basically.

But what if America knew they would be able to beat Russia, who at the time was closer than any other country? America would do anything to beat Russia, including faking it.

[NOTE]

This one may be set up differently. Because this was a major event there are "debunks" for everything. So after each topic I'll put [debunk:topic] and let you know what NASA and other scientists said about these things. That way you can make your own decision. Just because it says debunk doesn't mean I blindly believe what NASA said nor am I denying what they are saying cause they are a lot smarter than I am. They are just what they say that way you can more clearly make your own decisions.

[FLAG]

When they put the flag in the surface of the moon it started waving. Now there is no air on the moon, meaning no wind, so why would it wave?

[DEBUNK : FLAG]

NASA said it happened because the flag was rolled up for so long so when they put the flag down it was trying to regain it's shape.

[STARS]

If you look up on a clear night you might see a lot of stars, maybe even a planet or two. But in all the photos of the moon landing there is nothing. It's completely black. Why is it we can see stars from earth but you wouldn't be able to see any while on the moon?

[DEBUNK : STARS]

They said the moons surface reflects light and the glare would have made it hard to see any stars. They also said they filmed and took pictures using a fast exposure setting, which would have limited incoming background light.

[C ROCK]

The "C Rock" is a famous rock that was seen in one of the photos that had the letter "C" carved in it.

People believe this proves it was a prop and they marked it to make sure it went to a certain place on the set but the person setting it up forgot to flip it

[DEBUNK : C ROCK]

A piece of string or hair must have got caught in the machine while they were copying the photos. That's the only thing I could find.

[STAGE LIGHT]

If you look closely to one of the astronauts helmets you might see what looks like a stage light

None I could find.

[SHADOWS]

If you're on the moon the only light hitting you would be the sun, meaning the shadows should all be going in one direction, but they weren't.

[DEBUNK : SHADOWS]

Some scientists say there are in fact multiple light sources. There is the sun, the light reflecting from Earth, and the light reflecting off the moon itself. This would cause shadows being different ways.

[SHOES]

The shoes worn by the astronauts do not match the footprints on the moon. Buzz and Neil's suits are both preserved in a museum but if you look at the bottom they are different than the print on the moon

[DEBUNK : SHOES]

When on the moon they do not walk with the shoes you see above. They actually wear shoes like this over top the ones above,

However, these are super heavy shoes and when they leave the moon they must leave them behind to compensate for the excess weight of the samples they brought back

[THOUGHTS]

Do you believe they faked the moon landing?
