Faelyns POV

"Alright kiddos what do you want?" The man asked, "you have five-hundred and twenty tickets" he added.

"Take your pick" Jack insisted, my eyes wandering all over the shelves. I snuggled the stuffed lama closer, pulling on my best thinking face.

"Uhhhhh" I trailed, not seeing anything that really spiked my interest.

My eyes trailed over to a medium sized dog stuffie.

"That!" I pointed, it was six hundred credits.

"We don't have-" "ahh it's okay, here, you two enjoy your day" the man insisted, handing it over to me.

"Ohmygod thank you thank you THANK YOU" I rambled, grabbing it and squishing it, "it's so fluffy" I couldn't help but murmur.

We both walked out of the arcade and back into Jacks truck, both stuffed animals sitting on my lap.

"I feel like a proud mom" I huffed out in content before hugging them.

"Jheez if I knew stuffies made you happy I would've taken you to a toy store" he chuckled.

I rolled my eyes as we drove, we were fairly out on the outskirts of town, the next town over was about half an hour away.

Jacks phone rang, "could you grab that?" He asked, I only nodded, retrieving it from the cup holder and answering it.

"Yellope-" "Jack get your ass down here!" A voice beamed from the phone, and I fumbled around to put it on speaker.

"Uhh Jensen what's wrong? I'm out of town" he asked, my eyes narrowing.

Isn't Jensen the guy from the warehouse? Creepy old gang leader?

Mmmmm yes.

"We've got a raid. Jerry, from the west side, sent in three vans and half of our men, including you, are out of town. They want the gun. Get down here now" he instructed in a rushed tone.

Gunshots fired in the background and I couldn't help but send Jack a small look after he'd hung up.

"What? No-no." He said sternly, pointing an accusing finger at me as he drove, "you're not coming" he stated.

"But whyyyyyyyy" I drug out, crossing my arms with a pout.

"Because" he said simply.

"But I kicked ass last week and saved you!" I argued, reminding him.

He shook his head, "no is no" he said again.

"No is no" i mocked under my breath, "who are you? My mom? Jheez" I spat sourly.

"Faelyn I don't even know if I'm going. Last time I assisted in a raid it didn't end well" he insisted. "Okay but you're still breathing and walking soooo, what's the problem? I can hold my ground" I replied, the boy huffing out in defeat.

"Are you ever going to drop this?" He groaned out in annoyance.

"Nope" I shrugged, sending him a cheeky smile.

"Fae-" "pleaseeeee" I pleaded, patting his arm.

"Faelyn-" "PLEASEEEEE" I repeated louder.
