CH. 30 How could she not?!

(Melanie POV)

My eyes widened when we got to our destination,

"Oh my goodness!" I said looking out the window.

"This place looks beautiful!" I said it was designed like an amazon forest, there was a parking lot in front of the place and cars were already there.

"This is amazing, what is this place?" I turned around and asked him.

"Well, an organization came up with a place that resembles the rain forest, plants that can be found in the rain forest, fruits, and other amazing things. They wanted people to see the rain forest for what it is, how amazing it is and how beautiful it is, there's a museum in there dedicated to plants, there are even a little amusement park and other activity things." Dalton said.

"That is amazing, it even looks amazing from the outside. The owners of this place really thought well into it and the organization." I said.

"Well, we are the owners and we started the organization. We came up with the idea when we took a trip to different Amazons all over the world." Dalton said softly, my eyes widened.

"We created this?" I asked stunned,

He nodded his head.

"We created a lot of amazing things together," Dalton said smiling at me.

I felt my heartbeat against my chest. How could I not!? Dalton is honestly such a charming man.

How could I not remember anything about him, how could Melanie not? How could she not?

Here is an amazing person who obviously cares so much about his family, who loves me so much and I can't even remember anything about him or us, I just know that the feelings I have for him are strong.

"Let's go in, I would love to see your reaction to this place." He said smiling at me.

I smiled, excited about seeing it also.

We got out the car, taking Penelope out of her car seat. Who've eyes widened when she looked at the place and immediately clapped her hands.

"Looks like I'm not the only one who's excited right now," I said looking at Penelope goofy facial expression.

"Oh, she loves this place. Alright, let's go." Dalton said, placing Penelope in the stroller.

When he was done making sure she was all buckle up, she took my hand and we headed towards the entrance.

When we entered the place, the man behind the desk eyes widened.

"Mr. and Mrs. Carvalli. Welcome, hello there Miss Penelope. I'm so happy you're back with us Mrs. Carvalli" The man said smiling.

I smiled at him and said hello, feeling horrible that I didn't know the man and I wouldn't exactly say I was back.

"Hi there Steven, how is the family?" Dalton asked.

Steven immediately smiled at the mentioned of his family and had a small conversation with Dalton.

"I hope you three have a lovely time," Steven said, Dalton thanked him and so did I. As we made our way further in, I looked at Dalton and asked.

"I supposed it's not everyone who knows about my memory loss?" I asked him.

"Yes, not everyone knows. I kinda wanted it to be kept that way." He said. I nodded my head, not really bothered by it.
