I woke up early to do some running...Its been a long time since I did some morning jog..

I left my wife still sleeping soundly on our bed.

Today is our 2nd wedding anniversary. After Jema and I got married we moved here in an exclusive village in Alabang. For more privacy, you know.

She's still in a volleyball career, but not on court anymore. I want us to have a more private life, away from the limelight and we cant do that if she's still on the camera.

Jema do her volleyball thing in a volleyball academy ate Jia owns. She teaches young aspiring volleyball players. She's also the assistant trainer of the women's volleyball team of Adamson.

Pretty fair, right? At least I still allow her to do her passion in a different way.

Before we got married, we had a long talk to what kind of life we want together. Mine is simple, I want privacy. Her? She wants to be still in a volleyball career. We both agreed with this set up.

I just dont want her back playing again. It would just mess up the privacy I wanted us to have.

After my morning jog, I went straight at the resto bar I own here in Alabang. I left my volleyball career permanently. I don't like to deal with people and fans anymore. Toxicity of limelight is killing me. I turned to business instead. I co-own this bar with ate Bea and ate Kat.

Our bar's name is 'The Hideout' its a 2-storey building. Main bar, stage for bands, barrel chairs and high chairs are located at the ground floor, this is where we serve alcohols. So, if you wanna get boozed and fucked up you're welcome to the ground floor.

The second floor is different, if you just wanna dine, sip a coffee or an orange juice, enjoy some time with your family, or hangout with your best friends, just go up and we will welcome you. It has a balcony too for outside seating, if you want some fresh air.

Our bar has two entrance, one for the ground floor and the other one is a staircase straight to the second floor.

Its just 7am in the morning... Too early for a drink...

"Hey, Deans! Aga ah! Himala nag jogging ka? Hahaha." its ate Bea. She's at the main bar..

I took the seat in front of her..

We take turns kung sino yung nasa bar every week. This week its ate Bea's turn. We need to take turns, may kanya kanya pa kasi kaming business bukod dito. I have my own gym, it has 3 branches, Alabang, Katipunan and Manila.

"Yeah, I know its been a long time, so what. Give me some drink. Titignan mo lang ba ako? Mag trabaho ka naman. Hahaha."

"Wow, coming from you, Deans. Eh pag ikaw nga bantay dito, puro inom lang ginagawa mo. Dont deny it!"

"I know, I know... You can't blame me.."

"Ano bang nangyayari na sa inyo?"

"Wala. Today is our 2nd anniversary lang naman."

"Tapos dito ka dumiretso? Why not prepare some surprises for Jema? Like breakfast in bed. That simple dude. Come on."

"Mas marunong ka pa sakin ah, eh ako yung asawa ni Jema. Asan na yung alak ko? Bagal naman..."

"Make it work, Deans. That's how marriage works. Di pwedeng one-sided lang."

"Okay, sige, gusto niyang maglaro ulit, nabobored na daw siya, eh ayoko, nag usap na kami non. So, tell me, how would I make it work?"

"Intindihin mo kasi siya, Deans. Buhay na niya yung volleyball bago mo pa siya makilala."

"Yung buhay niya, yun yung muntik ng pumatay sa relasyon namin. Gusto ko ng magka anak kami din. Kung babalik siya sa paglalaro niya, pano namin bubuuin yung gusto naming pamilya?"
