ELLA STUCK HER fingers into the barbed fence as she and the others waited for Rick to cut open the fence to get to the other side. Glenn stood beside her, itching to get inside for he wanted to be semi-safe from danger. Ella wanted the same thing, but she mostly wanted Lori and her unborn sibling to be safe more than anyone else.

She couldn't wait for the child to come into this world. She wanted to care for it, love it, cherish it, and mean a great deal to the child. She didn't want it to not know Shane was its father.

Once Rick got the fence opened, Ella took Lori's hand and helped her through the hole. She looked at Beth and motioned for her to get in. Glenn plunged his dagger into a walker's skull as Maggie and Carol stepped into the fence.

Daryl looked down at Ella, waiting for her to get through. She stepped through it and ducked her head underneath. She walked up to another fence, a smile popping on her face when she saw the courtyard. . . the only con was, it was full of walkers.

She was pulled away from the fence when a bunch of walkers threw themselves up against the fence, needing to push their teeth into the flesh of the living. She stared at the walkers, swallowing thickly.

Glenn grabbed Ella's hand and dragged her alongside him as the group followed Rick down the path. They hit their boots and shoes into the ground, running as fast as possible, up until they came across the main gate, it was blocked off by a huge bus.

"It's perfect," Rick mused. "If we can shut that gate, prevent more from filling the yard, we can pick off the walkers. We'll take the field by tonight." he explained.

Hershel spoke up, "So how do we shut the gate?" he asked.

"I'll do it," Glenn offered, panting a little. "You guys cover me."

Ella shot him a dark look, her lips twitching into a straight line. "No, you're not gonna do that. That's crazy talk, Glenn."

"I'm the fastest." he shrugged, his voice low.

"That doesn't matter. There's too many of them for you to dodge."

"I-"

"I think she's right," Maggie sighed. "It's a suicide run."

"No," Rick pointed at Glenn. "You, Maggie, T-Dog, Beth and Ella draw as many as you can over there. Pop 'em through the fence," he pointed to the direction of the area. "Daryl, go back to the other tower. Carol, you've become a pretty good shot. Take your time, we don't got a lot of ammo to waste," he told her and she ran off with Daryl. "Hershel, Carl, you take this tower," he turned to the main gate. "I'll take the gate." Glenn handed Rick the bolt cutters. Rick gave him a nod.

With that, Maggie pushed open the gate towards the fence where the majority of the walkers were trying to get past the fence. Ella had a bad feeling about sending Rick out there, but she knew he would get through this to shut the gate.
