SOBS. IT WAS the last thing Ella would've thought she would be hearing. Noah was dead because Nicholas pushed on the glass turning doors and was devoured by walkers. Aiden was dead because he shot a grenade and got impaled by metal bars then they had to leave him and he was devoured by walkers. Tara was seriously injured by the grenade that Aiden shot. All that could've gone wrong on Glenn's second run had indeed gone wrong. But Ella never would've thought something like that could've happened. She didn't want Glenn to ever go on another run all because of what happened today. She prayed he wouldn't go out again, but there was little she could do if it was his job. He was a better runner than anyone here. If he got stuck in a sticky situation, he would get out with no problem.

But since most of the runners were injured or dead, they wouldn't be going out for awhile on Deanna's orders, thank God. And Nicholas wasn't someone to rely on for awhile either. He would get Glenn killed the next time they went out together. She would fight with Glenn if he and Nicholas decided to go on a run. She would probably lock him in a room until he decided going on a run with Nicholas wasn't smart and wasn't going to happen. She would even remind him that his actions killed Noah if locking him up wasn't good enough.

Ella rubbed his back as he clung to her, his arms wrapped around her, his face buried in her chest, his body sitting weird on her while he cried his heart out. He witnessed the most awful thing ever: Noah's death. She kissed the top of his head, her lips lingering on his sweaty head. She closed her eyes, wishing Glenn's pain away. If she could change things, she would. She would switch their jobs and go on that run instead to witness those events instead of him. She would take the burden of watching it instead of him. Glenn shouldn't have watched it. Nicholas should've been patient while Glenn cracked open the glass.

"Nicholas will get whats coming to him, Glenn. He won't be able to just away from this. You did everything you could to prevent their deaths and injuries. This is on him. Not you. Okay? And I don't want you to go on any runs with him anymore, okay? Never again. I will stand by and allow that to happen again. Nicholas needs to step back from this job and get one inside the walls instead of out there. I don't want him to come back without you because he killed you. Because I'll know what he did even if he said you were outbumbered and stuck. I'll know. And I will kill him for it." she whispered. "Promise me you will never go out there with him ever again."

He sniffled, sucking in his breath. He sat up, wiping the drool and snot from her collarbone. There was nothing he could do to prevent it from seeping into her shirt. "I promise. I'll tell him that. I'll tell Deanna that. I promise you. I won't go on a run until Tara is back on her feet and Nicholas is out of the job." he nodded.

"Good." she smiled, pulling him into a hug. "Good. Thank God. I'm so fucking glad you agreed." she breathed out.

He chuckled. "Yeah."
