At the time of writing this chapter, I have been reading The Wrath and the Dawn. Fantasy based on One Thousand And One Nights. I kid you not, this book is amazing and it's so hard to get it out of my mind while writing.

Do read it if you get time :)
I will be writing a quick review on my other IG page NotABookAddict ♥️

_____________
SANAM's POV

"So I'll see you at 7?"

I threw two dresses on the bed as I rejected them. They were simply not good enough for tonight.

"Where are we going?" I replied to the text but he refused to tell me. I couldn't even decide if it was okay to dress up casually.

"You'll see. Don't worry, I won't kidnap you," he responded with a wink emoji and I rolled my eyes.

As if I would let him?

"You don't know me yet. I can knock you down in a punch if I wanted to!" I warned him.

"Why do you have to do this to me all the time? Stop it miss bossy pants,"  a laughing emoji followed after.

I threw my phone on the bed without caring to respond and shifted my attention to the cupboard again. I couldn't decide between a blue dress with silver embellishment and yellow kameez with purple embroidery. I didn't even know what was his taste like. What if he is expecting me to wear something traditional? Or western?

Why do I care what he is expecting? And what if he is not expecting anything at all?

I groaned out of confusion and stretched my arm to grab my phone again. There is only one person who can help me.

"Help me decide a dress for tonight!" I ordered as soon as he picked up the phone.

"Please," I quickly added, stretching out my left hand to look at my nails.

"Yeah, firstly good morning to you too," Shehryaar yawned in his raspy, morning voice, like he had just woken up, "And secondly who am I? Your personal stylist? Why do I have to help you with everything?"

"Ab aisi bhi baat nahi hai," I rolled my eyes, sheepishly. I knew I should have called someone else.

"Toh kaisi baat hai?" He asked, sounding partly disinterested but also as if he was teasing me, "personal assistant rakh liya hai kya tumne mujhe? Ab kapre bhi main decide karoon."

"If any of my friends knew about this, I would have asked them instead. But fine don't help. Bye!" I groaned and disconnected the call. Zara si importance kya de do, bhaav badh jaate hein logo ke!

Within 3 seconds, my phone rang again. Although I had expected it to, I still couldn't stop myself from smiling.

"What is it now?" I asked, mimicking his yawn.

"Mere alawa dost hein bhi? Tumhein jhelta kaun hoga?"

My eyes widened at his question and I huffed. "Sabko apne jaisa samjha hai kya? Duffer!"

"Itna Attitude?" Shehryaar asked and sighed, "Chalo koi baat nahi. Bye."

"Nahi!" I winced at his response, "I need help!"

Yeh banda toh theek se manaa bhi nahi sakta. Waise kyu manayega?

Shehryaar laughed wholeheartedly at my misery and I suppressed my groan, waiting for him to stop.

"Okay, tell me what are we working with?" He finally asked.

"A blue and silver dress or yellow and purple kameez," I told him, "I don't know if it's casual or a fancy date—"
