Is your pen name your legal name? If no, then how did you make up one?

My pen name and my legal name are the same. :)

How many books have you published till date?

I have 9 completed stories that are either currently on Wattpad or have been at one point. I have one book that has been published with a small publisher off Wattpad. They signed the other two books in that series as well. I have four books in progress right now. Two are on hold, and I am actively writing two.

What are your future projects?

My future projects are working on editing the other two books in the series for my publisher. I'm going to finish my small town series, and I should finish the other two books that are currently on hold. After that, I might go back to romantic suspense for a while. I'm not too sure. It feels like I'm a long way from starting anything completely new for a while.

What is writing to you?

I love writing. I love getting lost in a story in my head. I love all the drafts of a scene that happen as I'm washing dishes or driving or exercising. I love that my characters end up becoming "people" that readers love. It's a joy.

Is being an author, your long time dream or a hidden passion you found out later?

I've wanted to be a writer since I was a little kid. I actually would have loved to write for a soap opera, but I didn't end up pursuing that avenue. :) I love my day job too. So, I'm lucky in that I can fulfill all my passions.

What genre books you like to work on?

I write mostly contemporary romance, contemporary YA, and YA Fantasy at the moment.

If we challenge you to write a book of another genre we suggest, then would you take it up?

If I didn't have so many projects going right now, I'd definitely take the challenge. But I have too much going on to consider starting something else (cue my crying face -- I love starting new, challenging writing projects).

Writing is a reality that paints a beautiful fantasy. What do you think are the charms of writing fiction/non fictional books?

I love writing fiction that is grounded in something real. So, for my romantic suspense series, I read a lot of interviews and blog posts from ex undercover agents, and I read a lot of newspaper articles on mafia organizations, and I even followed an ongoing trial. To be able to convince readers that you know and understand a world like that is an incredible feeling. One editor described my series as gritty and realistic.

Who are your favorite authors in and out of wattpad?

My favorite authors on Wattpad are collettekozuchlepley jacklyn  Dante_Greywolf and there are a slew of others I either met in passing or who don't spend a lot of time on this platform anymore. Outside Wattpad, I have books I've loved, but I don't have authors who are a "must buy" for me anymore. I'm really big on variety and trying to learn things from authors from a variety of genres and writing styles. I post about all the books I read on my instagram. I love the bookstagram community. :)

What is your favorite series you have recently watched or read?

My husband and I are binging Schitt's Creek right now. I love the mix of comedy and character development. I wasn't sure whether I was going to love it, but by the fifth season, all the characters have grown so much. It's a master class in character development since each episode is so short. I have other shows I have loved, but that's my most recent love.

Who is your favorite actor/actress?

My favourite actor is Ryan Reynolds. I love a man with a sense of humor. Similarly, Kristen Bell is also one of my favs.

Who is your favorite Villain you couldn't help but love?

Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries is my kind of villain. He starts out mostly bad, but as the series progresses, he becomes the best kind of anti-hero. You can't help but love him even as you shake your head at some of the choices he makes.

What are your hobbies other than writing and reading?

I spend a lot of time with my kids, so I don't have a lot of time to myself these days. Beyond writing, I try to find time to exercise a few times a week either swimming or going to a fitness class. It's a balance I don't always hit.

What are your hidden talents?

Before I started posting on here, I would have said my hidden talent was writing. But now that I've had a book published and I'm a Wattpad Star, I would say that talent is less hidden. I'm not sure I have one anymore. :)

Who is your first celebrity crush?

My first celebrity crush would have been Jordan from New Kid on the Block, I think. Man, that dates me. But yeah, probably him. Otherwise, I had a thing for a hockey player called Eric Lindros for a while too. :)

What is the most embarrassing situation that you have ever been through?

An embarrassing situation? This is one of the times when my brain won't work. Ah, now I remember one. There are lots, I am sure. But there was a time when I was texting with a friend, complaining about another friend. The friend I was complaining about texted me. I didn't check the person I was replying to and ended up complaining about the person to them. I felt terrible. Luckily, she was a pretty confident person, and she confronted me and we hashed it out. At the time, I was mortified that I'd said what I said to her.

One craziest thing you have ever done?

The craziest thing I've ever done was probably applying for an exchange to Australia and then actually accepting that exchange. :) I moved there on my own with nothing but two suitcases and no friends during my third year of university. A huge, huge learning experience for me. Once I've never regretted.

There are many authors who just started their journey and many readers who want to write but have no courage to do so. Please give them a tip and a word of encouragement.

My biggest tip would be to make genuine friends on here. If I didn't have ColletteKozuchLepley on here, I probably would have left a long time ago. But we bolster each other up and have a great time plotting stories and coming up with random fan fic ideas we'll probably never write

Last but not the least, have you ever dreamt of writing your own comic?

. I have zero plans to write a comic. But I was briefly up for a TV writing gig. I think I would have enjoyed that.
