Is your pen name your legal name? If no, then how did you make up one?

No, it is not my legal name but it is close to my legal name. I am a teacher and so I do not use my actual last name in hopes that they do not stumble upon any of my social media accounts. I chose my username because Dehler is my mom's maiden name.

How many books have you published till date?

On Wattpad? I have ten stories total on Wattpad and seven are finished. One of my stories, Simon Says, is also published on Dreame.

What are your future projects?

I have a new book, A Castle Fit for a King, that I will begin posting in January. I will also be editing the entire Ichor Trilogy and creating a prequel book based upon my Greek mythological world.

What is writing to you?

Writing is a way of release. A thousand stories continuously play within my own head, and writing is my way of releasing these stories for the rest of the world. I thought that reading was the greatest escape this world had, but then I begun writing and that proved to be the true escape.

Is being an author, your long time dream or a hidden passion you found out later?

I have been writing since I was a freshman in high school and now I am a middle school teacher, so i would definitely say that this has been a long-term dream of mine. I hope that once I edit the Ichor Trilogy that I can seek publication. While I will always want to be a teacher, but I hope that I can become a published author too.

What genre books you like to work on?

I work on a few different genres (vampire, werewolf, dystopian, and general fiction). I like stories that are dark, primarily, with a strong focus on character development.

If we challenge you to write a book of another genre we suggest, then would you take it up?

Most likely I would! The only genres that I steer away from is historical fiction, but other than that I am more than willing to try a new genre.

Writing is a reality that paints a beautiful fantasy. What do you think are the charms of writing fiction/non fictional books?

I have never written a non-fiction book, so I cannot speak about the charms of that. I can speak about the many charms of fiction. Fiction writing is otherwordly. Within the world of fantasy, you can be anything that you want to be. I can be a vampire slayer facing the vilest vampire in existence, I can be the Goddess of Bones, I can be a seductress or an assassin. The list is neverending in the world of fantasy and that is part of the many charms within fantasy.

Who are your favorite authors in and out of wattpad?

My favorite author outside of Wattpad is Khaled Hosseini, the writer of "A Thousand Splendid Suns" and "The Kite Runner". My favorite Wattpad authors are Lana Sky, Holly Shmit, Dream Tomorrow, Natasha Preston, and makeandoffer.

Name few of your close wattpad friends.

My closest Wattpad friend was beingellie, but sadly she is no longer on this website. I absolutely love the person that makes my covers, evepetal, so I'd have to say that she is the person that I am currently closest to on Wattpad.

What is your favorite series you have recently watched or read?

I am currently watching Arrow, which is growing to be one of my top 3 favorite tv series! A book on Wattpad that I am currently reading and LOVING is  called Snow by eastcoastgirrrl and it is fantastic!

Who is your favorite actor/actress?

I have so many favorites! My favorite actors are Christoph Waltz, Brad Pitt, and Morgan Freeman. My favorite actresses are Winona Ryder, Charlize Theron, and Shannen Doherty.

Who is your favorite Villain you couldn't help but love?

I have far too many! Villains are my kryptonite. I love the vileness of Maleficient, the complexity of Klaus Mikaelson, the deranged vengence that filled Deathstroke in 'Arrow', and the insanity that is Ramsey Bolton. I have sooo many more favorites but those are just a few!

What are your hobbies other than writing and reading?

I love spending time with children with special needs. I am a Special Education teacher and so a great hobby of mine is spending time with those children, as they are one of the few things that make me truly happy. I also love hanging out with my boyfriend, Mat, and finding a new show to binge watch.

What are your hidden talents?

Writing is my only hidden talent, unless tripping over air at least once a day is considered a talent.

Who is your first celebrity crush?

GERARD BUTLER! Have you seen Phantom of the Opera? He is everything perfect and he is the reason that I am so obsessed with loving villains.

What is the most embarrassing situation that you have ever been through?

It's so embarrassing that I can't even say it on here in mortification that anybody will know it happened.

One craziest thing you have ever done?

I took some shrooms and strolled around a forest once, I've jumped off of a cliff, and I've gotten super drunk and skinny dipped with a bunch of random people at a lake.

There are many authors who just started their journey and many readers who want to write but has no courage to do so. Please give them a tip and a word of encouragement.

Even if you don't think you are good, still try. You have to keep practicing if this is something that you are passionate about. My first few books were TERRIBLE but I pushed through. Push through.

Last but not the least, have you ever dreamt of writing your own comic?

Absolutely not lol there are many skills I think I have in the writing field, but creating my own comic is not something I think I would be good at. I've maybe read one comic my entire life. There are people that are more equipped for that skill.

What do you feel about this interview?

This is the first interview that I've done on Wattpad and I had a lot of fun being able to do this!
