"Hello."
"Ah- oh, um- Hello?" Haewon stuttered at the sudden presence of a middle-aged man who came to walk next to her.
He was bulky, not that tall but still taller than the girl who stood at 5'4- she wasn't that small but Jisung definitely towered over her.
Haewon immediately knew something was off, yes she could be sweet and innocent but she most certainly was not stupid. Though she didn't want to jump to conclusions immediately, she kept her distance and began picking up her pace.
It should have been an indicator for the man to stop tailing a 17 year old girl, but yet he continued to walk next to her. "What's a pretty girl like you doing alone?"
Haewon grimaced and pulled her jacket closer to her body, chuckling nervously and walking faster. It was 7pm and due to the winter days, nightfall had already set.
She had just come from her gymnastics class, walking back home in the dark. She clutched the straps of her bag tighter in anxiety and her heart began to thunder.
"What's the rush, you kids are quite rude nowadays huh?" He said chuckling, walking closer to her, making the girl inch away. "I've g-got to get going." Haewon rushed out, quickly turning to the crossing and walking through it without waiting for the lights to go off.
Luckily the cars weren't close, allowing her to basically run to the other side. The wind blew past her hair and her breaths became more laboured.
"How dare you just walk away." The man grunted, grabbing her arm which made her yelp in pain. He tightened his grip and gritted his teeth. "I was trying to be nice."
"L-let go of me!" She struggled against his grip, trying to lean away from him when he came closer. Haewon managed to slip out of his grip and began running, tears gathering as the streets were deserted, no-one was around to help her.
Or that's what she thought.
The man pulled her by her hand, making her stop involuntarily. "Where are you going, you're alone-"
"No she's not."
The deep, harsh voice startled Haewon and she felt the warm presence step in front of her, between the man and herself.
Even by the back of his figure, she knew who it was and immediately relaxed, her shaky hands gripped onto the hem of his jacket, making him look down at her.
However, her head was down and his fists clenched as he turned back to the man who laughed. "What's a kid like you going to d-"
All Haewon could register was the sight of the man's head whipping to the side violently on the force of a punch.
"Jisung!" She screamed out, shocked at the fact he had just punched the man square in the jaw without hesitation.
Jisung stood straighter, watching the man clutching his jaw and mouth in disbelief before standing up and advancing on the teenage boy. Jisung's face was blank as the male raised his fists while running towards him and Haewon gasped.
Jisung simply moved to the side, the man missing and falling onto his face. "Fuck off! I was just talking to this girl, who are you!" The man spat out, stumbling on his feet.
"Her boyfriend."
Haewon's jaw fell agape and she looked at Jisung who didn't even spare her a glance. "What?" Haewon breathed out in confusion and Jisung turned to look at her, the street lamp illuminating on his fair skin.
His eyes softened slightly, a fraction but it was short-lived when the male stuck his fist into Jisung's face, tackling him onto the ground. Haewon's eyes widened and she felt her body jolting in pain at the blow.
There was a deep chuckle from Jisung as he sat up, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, seeing the blood. "Oh you better fucking run." He growled out deeply, standing up and discarding of his restricting jacket, lunging for the man
