Mingyu's POV:

I've watched a lot of soul part ways with the people that they love, I saw how much pain the living goes through when someone important to them has to say goodbye, and experiencing all of these made me realize the importance of life.

"Mingyu yah? Where are you going?"

Dongwook hyung asked, yes, he is Lee Dongwook the most famous grim reaper ever, he was even friends with the goblin, and we admire him a lot.

"y/n-yah, I'm going to visit her"

As a grim reaper only those who are dead can see us, so at much as possible we shouldn't get attached to anyone, because once they're gone, we will lead them to the afterlife and if we get attached feelings it would be hard for us.

"I know that you've been guiding a lot of souls who are close to her, but Mingyu-yah don't get too attached to her"

Though I wasn't quite sure I nodded, it's true that I did guide a lot of souls who are related to her, I saw how much pain she's been through, and for some reasons I feel like she's different than the other people.

"When her parents died in a car accident, I was with them to the afterlife"

I stated which made Dongwook hyung look at me, and I just continue to gaze the window of a certain hospital room, the two of us are now standing at the rooftop of the building beside the hospital.

"When her grandmother died you were also there for her"

Dongwook hyung added, while I smiled bitterly and the most unforgettable person that I encountered that is related to her was her only brother, and now that he's gone she's all alone, the four corners of that lonely hospital room became her home, no one ever visited her, because all of them were gone.

"She's the last soul that you'll be guiding to the afterlife"

I know, and now that her condition is getting worse as time passes by, I don't know if I'll be glad or not, because once she dies, I'll get the chance to be reincarnated, because she's the 1000th soul that I'll be guiding then I'll be free again.

"You've been through a lot just for you to get a chance of reincarnation, I hope you won't let all your hardships be in vain"

Dongwook hyung smiled before he suddenly vanished into the unknown, I've been spending my last 200 years just for me to get this chance, and I won't let it pass, I won't let a girl whom I don't even know personally ruin all my plans.

As I watch her from the windows of her room, she seems so sad, she's the last person before I get to live again, that's right Mingyu, she's the last and after that everything's going to be alright.
