"Seven minutes to detonation." A robotic, feminine voice boomed over the speakers of the room to alert us of the destruction coming our way.

Great, just great.

"Come on, Doc. Get up, we've got to get going." I tried to break him from his catatonic state.

"Six minutes to detonation."

"Snap out of it, Doc!" I shouted the order as Warren began to repeatedly slap his fuzzy facial cheeks to try and force the consciousness.

"Get out of here!" Cassandra shouted for us to make a grand leave, but I couldn't leave Doc.

Not here. Not like this. Not alone.

"Wake up, damn it!"

"Now!" Cassandra barked, straining from something she was doing.

"We've got to get out of here, now, (Y/N)."

Warren grabbed my wrist with one of her hands, forgetting about the man who needed her more than I did.

"Don't-Don't do this to me, Warren! I'm not leaving him!" I promised the unconscious man below me, focusing on his stunned-looking eyes.

This is Charlie all over again and all I asked was one small question this time!

"We're not. 10K and I will carry him. You lead us out."

"With what? My hands?" I snapped, not caring if she didn't know I had no weapon.

I gave it to Murphy for his benefit. I looked up as her worried glazed orbs stared back at me, but my eyes only showed how frantic and rushed I was feeling. She nudged her head over to where Cassandra was wrestling with one of the men.

She tossed one of the rifles out of their hands right when my sight was locked on her scene.

"Five minutes to detonation."

Reluctantly, I got up from Doc's side, allowing 10K to take my spot while Warren picked up on his left. I ran over to the tossed away gun, wrapping the strap around my right shoulder. I looked behind me to see Warren and 10K had successfully got Doc to his feet.

Yet, the glossy display of Doc's light blue orbs seemed to be wider now that he was up. I looked down at the weapon in my hand, studying over the structure and figuring out what did what. Safety was on.

I quickly switched the small flip to release the safety. I put the weapon on triple-fire, making sure it was where I wanted it to be. We're in a rush so we don't have time to stop and stare at what obstacles stand in our path.

I took one more glimpse of Cassandra, who was saving our asses one more time. Finally letting it sink in that she wouldn't be returning with us, I turned back around to get the door for the three once they began to make their way towards me and the exit.

Cassandra's head popped up at the sound of the hinges moving. Our eyes made contact for the first time since she's been moving like she was on a weird drug.

"I love you." I whispered before running out of the room, behind the three survivors.

"Four minutes to detonation."

I got in front of the three as we jogged away from the violent drama behind us, making the short zigzag before it became an almost straight shot out of here. Before we could turn the sharp corner to reach the Red Room of Horrors, a huge--and I mean humongous--Z stepped out from around the corner.

Oh, holy Hell. The monster from a teenager's video game was at least six feet with five inches added at their knees. Blood was squirted onto the raggedy white, old scientist coat. Well, wasn't he a smart, tall, and, once, breathing prince.

As he released a loud grown the air to alert more, surrounding zombies, the crinkled black shirt shivered like we were.

"(Y/N).." Warren began to become unsure of how well I could handle this situation.

There's no time to switch a Doc and a gun. There's no more time for hesitating. Figuratively, I put my big girl panties on my butt and begin to move with adrenaline coursing through my veins. I can do this.

I took two steps closer towards the beast from a video game and got on one knee. I leaned the butt of the gun against my shoulder while barely leaning my cheek down in front of the black scope.

Breathe. I closed my left eye to be able to see through the scope with my right only. A red cross with a clear middle was in my sight, showing me I was aiming at it's chest rather than the control center.

The Z released one more thundering growl before rushing our way. Breathe in.

"(Y/N)!" I heard 10K shout behind me, feeling uncomfortable just like Warren.

I can do this. For Doc. For Cassandra.

"I can do this!" I shouted back over the screams of the undead.

The beast was five feet from me when I took aim on it's exposed neck. Breathe out. I squeezed the trigger button like I was taught since I was fourteen. Rapid fire began to explode into the air and slice through the Z's neck.

I allowed the machine to go up with the kick it had on it until I was sure the head had been blown off with one, simple shot. The Green Giant fell back with blood spurting out of it like a broken chocolate fountain machine.

"Come on!" I encouraged, getting back to my feet the second I knew the coast was clear for moving on.

Charlie would be so proud of me.

"Three minutes to detonation."

By the time our fifth warning sounded off, we finally reached the Red Room of Horror. We shot through anything that even remotely twitched the wrong way.
